Maybe TANK didn’t expect such a result after dominating the regular season but in a division with lots of parody, it just goes to show that anything can happen. After grabbing two late first period goals by N.Harvey and M.Pacifico, the Stealth Assassins put a seal to the match when D.Palmulare widened the margin by three despite giving up two late goals. Solid goaltending is always a factor and J.Capalbo provided just that with a 28 save performance.
(2)HBHA Seniors vs Electric Area(1)
Far from being as easy as they hoped for, the HBHA Seniors grinded out a tough victory versus the Electric Area. Scoreless after one period, J.Mandracchia opened the scoring for the Seniors with a lone second period tally and G.Vouloumanos was able to double the score by the four minute mark of the final frame. The only thing left at that point on was to run the clock and play for the shutout but that didn’t happen as J.Verrillo spoiled C.Giannakis’s night with less than a minute remaining in the match.
(5)L.O.D vs Les A’s(0)
E.Parent pushes away 26 shots and L.O.D advance through to the next round after a flawless performance. With goals in every frame along with balanced scoring, L.O.D will look to challenge for bigger goals if they can keep playing this way. P.Koutsogiannopoulos tallied first with a marker that ultimately held up as the game winner and N.Rubbo along with H.Tassone were the most productive finishing with three points a piece.
(2)Nelmar vs Fat Roy(3)
Not much separated both sides prior to tonight’s match explains why this contest was decided by only one goal. The only difference occurred in the first period where Fat Roy won the frame 2-1 with goals from C.Siconolfi and J.Levesque. After playing through a scoreless drought for over 21 minutes, H.Berberyan evened the score for Nelmar early in the third period. At that point on this contest was pretty much in sudden death mode and with time winding down, N.Siconolfi played the hero to help advance Fat Roy to the semi-finals.

The next round will feature the HBHA Seniors versus the Stealth Assassins while Fat Roy look to take on the Legion of Doom in a best of three series.
