(1)French Connection vs Le Colisee(4) E1
Le Colisee will need confidence moving forward and after defeating a good hockey club, they hope to carry positive energy in next weeks playoff battle. With goals in every frame, O.Caillet and Le Colisee played close to a perfect match until J.Dumont spoiled the shutout by the ten minute mark of the third period. Le Colisee got their production from D.Lucchesi who scored twice and three helpers by T.Settino.
(3)Deadlast vs Armored Saints(4) E1
Deadlast started bad and despite playing better the rest of the way, the Armored Saints held on to the close victory. M.Pecora scored twice in the opening frame giving the Armored Saints a 3-1 lead but it was the strong play of J.Velaonsi that caused plenty of problems to his opponents. The young talent notched all three markers for Deadlast with tallies in every period to help give his club an opportunity to take the match. The game winner was slated by the mid way point of the contest on an effort by F.D’Antonio.
Round one of the playoffs will begin shortly. The Armored Saints and the Chiefs occupy the top two seeds and have a direct pass to the semi-finals. The other two matches feature Deadlast taking on the French Connection in what should be an offensive battle while the Scorpions look to neutralise Le Colisee.
(2)JAC Motosport vs Assurance Evolution(1) E2 Round 1
With a winless record and after showing up with no changes on their bench, L’Assurance Evolution still managed to give JAC Motopsort a real run for their money. The first goal of the contest belonged to F.Ouellet of L’Assurance Evolution but the JAC Motosport immediately responded scoring twice with tallies from M.Blais and by his captain J.Epinat. That still left plenty of time for an equaliser but the tired bunch weren’t able to get through to M.Leduc as the net-minder shut the door the rest of the way.
(1)Seals vs Carnage(9) E2 Round 1
Carnage has just got the attention of everyone in the E2 division after completely dominating the Seals in this one sided affair. Balanced production is always key for success but Carnage did have a couple of their players step it up as J.DiMarco set up the first four goals of the contest to finish with five points while M.Pace riffled three markers passed S.Gagnon to earn a hat trick. Apart from scoring plenty of goals, great defence along with solid goaltending were also a contributing factor as S.Bentivegna pushed way nearly 30 shots allowing only one tally by G.Thibeault.
Four teams remain in hopes of advancing to the big dance. After skipping the first round for capturing top seed of the division, the Spare Parts will have their hands full versus Carnage. The other game will feature two teams with identical records. The Street Ballers will play the JAC Motoport in what should be a good battle.
