A win may be a win but the NWV are glad to have somebody with a nose for the net. D.Gentile tallied six out of his clubs eight goals and was a vital reason why his club doubled up the Whalers. Despite the loss, the Whalers held in there for most of the night until dropping the final frame 4-1.M.Hadjar was able to feed D.Gentile on three occasions for the win while N.Mode was the Whalers best player bagging two goals.

The newly added Purple Cobras made an immediate statement defeating Chaos, beating them 7-4 to open up their season on a positive note. With at least a pair of goals in every frame, the Purple Cobras got an overall balanced effort getting a pair of goals from L.Primianni and F.Montefiore. After trailing the contest 5-1 heading into the final frame, Chaos did finally find their touch getting goals from T.Grainger, J.Aspin and J.Quevillon.

Once B.Goodz grabbed the lead in the third period, there was no turning back for the Kennedy Crew in a 5-2 win over Primetime. C.Flikas took care of the scoring twice to get things going which led to three third period unanswered tallies. J.Papachristos and S.Mckay did there part for Primetime as the only two players to beat S.Rainville. It’s still early on for B.Brathwaite and his troops but the Kennedy Crew look to make an impact if they remain a full roster.
(5)Horsemen vs Buckshots(5) S.O
Somehow the defending champs capture points with barely any players. The Buckhots had to face the Horsemen with only two spares and managed to bring the match into a shootout where each side settled for a draw. He didn’t score but V.Pandza made four goals happen for the Horsemen while M.Destounis did what he does best with a pair of tallies for the Buckshots. Each side tried to get something going in the shootout but failed to get anything passed M.Vinciguerre of the Horsemen and C.Stavriadis of the Buckshots.
