(9)United Armenians vs Bijoux(5)
Whether it was from championship hangover or coming out flat, Bijoux have no excuse for allowing the amount of goals they did. The United Armenians will take this one as a positive with some new players to their line up knowing that they could put up the numbers. A.DaSilva, J.Eid and N.Macrozonaris each had two goals while M.Boutras had the most helpers setting up four tallies. Bijoux got most of their production from M.Grilo who had another exceptional game after winning the best defensemen award from the previous season.
(3)Les Bakaloo vs Red Nose(6)
Despite a remarkable comeback, Les Bakaloo weren’t ever able to ever grab the lead. The Red Nose powered three first period tallies and needed a strong second half of the game to getter the better of their opponents. The back breaker may have occurred when N.Delia received a solid freed from J-P Meunier late in the second period making no mistake to beat the veteran net minder F.Vigliotti for a 4-3 lead. Y.Leroux scored twice, N.Delia had a four point night and J-P Gagnon did just enough to earn the win in nets.
(11)HC Inter vs Legion of Goons(1)
It might not be the best way to start a season but the Legion of Goons will have plenty of time to develop some chemistry. With the game already out of reach after one period, the HC Inter continued their pace ending the night earlier than usual due to the ten goal mercy rule. Many found the back of the net but it was V.Crivello along with M.Crivello causing most of the problems netting a hat trick each. The Legion of Goons did find a way to crack the barrier thanks to a solo effort from E.Choucha who was able to net his clubs lone tally by the mid way point of the game.
(3)Red Vipers vs Butchers(4)
After tying the game twice, the Red Vipers couldn’t get that extra tally as they barely fell to open up their season. V.Mormina immediately put the Butchers in a good situation striking twice in the span of two minutes for a 2-0 lead. It took nearly two periods but the Red Vipers did finally solve N.Mackeen with a short handed effort from M.Levesque. That was his first of two for the Red Vipers as K.Kersaint notched the other tally. M.Cristofaro, captain of the Butchers posted a late second period power play goal before D.Ruiz bagged the winner with only three minutes remaining in the game.
(6)Lounge 5 vs Mighty Ducks(3)
Lounge 5 start off there season strong and are glad to have the likes of B.Daniele as the veteran nets four to down the Mighty Ducks. Apart from his flurry of goals, B.Daniele was also able to feed G.Cardillo and A.Cavallo participating in all six Lounge 5 goals. The Mighty Ducks did put up a good battle and came within a one goal margin before giving up two very late tallies.
(10)HIG Boys vs District 5(0)
The HIG Boys have the chemistry and the experience and is why they captured a decisive win over District 5.Altough it may take some time to adapt, the District 5 do have access to a full bench and will look to make good use of it with time to come. Surprisingly enough, out of the ten goals scored, only the captain A.DiPerna struck twice while eight other players found the back of the net. G.Follano earned an easy shutout after facing less than ten shots.
(1)Untouchables vs 1 Timer(8)
After netting half of his team’s goals, M.Dufort helped carry the 1
Timer to an easy 8-1 win over the Untouchables. From start to finish, the men in orange showed more intensity and never let up in what was a near perfect night. T.Daigneault had a two goal game, G.Dormoy had a four point performance and F.Koch was flawless in nets except for once when last seasons scoring leader S.Trudel beat him by the second period.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Biaggo Daniele. The lanky forward caused havoc for his opponents bagging four goals and two helpers in a 6-3 Lounge 5 win over the Mighty Ducks.
