(7)Ducks vs Lokomotiv(2)
The Ducks dominated the second frame and defeated Lokomotiv to start off their season on the right track. Part of the success is attributed to D.Lonardi who accumulated an impressive six points and M.Masse who was able to notch three out of his clubs seven goals. Never in any danger, the Ducks conceded their first goal of the night late in the second period after building a five goal cushion.
(5)Buckshots vs Tyrants(3)
If there’s one great test for the recent F2 champs, was to see how they’d measure up versus the recent F1 champions. The Buckshots took their opponents seriously and made sure to control the pace of the game by building a 3-0 lead after two periods .Even though the Buckshots may have dropped the final frame, the Tyrants didn’t pose any threat whatsoever posting two very late goals. Once again, M.Destounis finds the back of the net twice, C.Christou did the same and A.Kolias was able to add three helpers.
(2)Hellfish vs Kennedy Crew(4)
So far so good for the Kennedy Crew as they put together two straight wins after a double up victory versus the Hellfish. N.Kokovidis used his vision setting up both T.Flikas and D.Kalay before riffling a huge power play goal by the four minute mark of the second period. The Kennedy Crew never once trailed, got efforts from four different goal scorers, and a solid performance between the pipes from B.Verducci.
(4)Steelers vs Primetime(2)
J.Afentakis earned a hat trick and the Steelers battled just enough to defeat Primetime on Wednesday night. Anytime someone nets three out of four goals, can only suggest that he was more than ready to play. J.Afentakis was able to even the score at two goals a piece on the power play before adding the go ahead marker along with some insurance by the three minute mark of the third period. J.Guerrero had a multi point night and P.Stamkopoulos bounced back in nets after giving up two goals by the six minute mark of the opening frame.
(3)Fat Cats vs RBK Knights(1)
Speed hurts on many nights and F.Gentile was able to use it as a major reason why the Fat Cats got the better of RBK Knights. The number 13 scored once with the five man unit before posting the go ahead marker late in the second period for a 2-1 lead. At that point on, it was all up to the captain G-C.Sangiovanni to shut the door between the pipes in which he did stopping a total of 28 out of 29 shots.
(2)Horsemen vs TANK(9)
With a result such as this one versus a very good hockey team, can only imply that TANK are still frustrated after dropping the finals. M-A Lefebvre struck three times fairly early, and B.Deslauriers added some production by bagging a pair. After building a 4-1 first period lead, the boys in green let up a little until the final frame where they posted four more goals to easily take the match.
(6)Infiniti/Park Avenue vs Punishers(9)
J.Fidrilis strikes three times and the Punishers powered five third period goals in what was an all out offensive battle from both sides. A.Krawczyk put Infiniti/Park Avenue up 5-4 heading into the final frame after notching two quick goals. Whether it was a question of time or just not having enough energy, the Punishers took advantage of the situation riffling five third period goals. M.Goodz chipped in with a pair and C.Stamadianos showed consistency finishing his night with four points.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to John Afentakis. The Steelers forward came through when it mattered the most posting three goals and was a vital reason why the Steelers defeated Primetime on Wednesday night.

(5)NWV vs Chaos(1)
M.Hadjar made the most of his opportunities scoring twice including a big second period power play goal to help his team to a 5-1 win on Saturday afternoon. Once D.Gentile put his club in front 2-1 in the opening frame, there was no turning back for NWV who now improve to a 2-0 record. D.Gentile also scored twice capping off the day with a late short handed marker. Chaos got on the board only once by the mid way point of the first period where C.Doutre solved B.Madonis for a rare time.
(5)Werewolves vs The Tropics(4) S.O
J.Manteiga and J.Guerriero score in the shootout notching the extra tally in a tight 5-4 win over the Tropics. The Werewolves hoped to avoid the extra time after grabbing a 3-1 third period lead, and despite giving up a pair of third period tallies, the veteran squad found a way to get it done. The Tropics made sure to strike twice on their power play thanks to goals from P.Scuccimarri and A.Olimpo to send the match into overtime. It came in a losing cause but J.Crivello captain of the Tropics, did make things complicated for the Werewolves setting up all three goals before netting his clubs lone shootout marker.
(7)Brewers vs Purple Cobras(6)
If the Purple Cobras could have done a little more in the first and third periods, they may have had a different out come. Despite netting six second period goals, it still wasn’t enough to defeat the Brewers who mounted a third period comeback to take the match. A.Patel led the way bagging a hat trick, and R.Hagen along with C.Palermo took care of the balance riffling a pair of goals each. The Purple Cobras didn’t look for anyone in particular to lead the way as six different players struck in the second period for a 6-4 lead heading into the third.
