(7)Brewers vs Vintage Ottarks(5)
It’s not the kind of style that both clubs preach, but with not much on the line at this stage of the season, scoring goals was all that mattered. Most of the action occurred by the second period where the Brewers finally got on the board thanks to a pair of tallies from R.Mancini. The Vintage Ottarks eventually evened the score by the third with an effort from F.Casacalenda but that was short lived as the Brewers took over bagging three straight markers. D.DiGiacomoSr chipped in with a pair, and C.Charles along with D.Verta each had three helpers.
(10)Blades vs United Arms(1)
If there is one thing that Blades don’t lack, is the ability to put up the numbers. Ten goals versus the United Arms is quite impressive as many weapons can strike at any time. J.Bourgaize took the torch on this night bagging three straight goals before adding one more late in the game. A.Mirolla netted both power play goals, S.Robineault assisted three times, and G.Follano allowed only one tally early in the second frame from A.Minassian.
(2)Dragons vs Mighty Drunks(6)
Despite the amount of ball possession the Mighty Drunks had, a third period was needed for the quicker club to pull away. The Dragons held in there trying to keep up and did an overall fine job before running out of juice. The back breaker occurred early in the third period where J.Argyropoulos took advantage of a power play opportunity giving the Mighty Drunks a lead that was never challenged. P.Arkalis got his club there with goals both in the first and second periods before feeding K.Dubard for insurance.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Peter Arkalis. His four two goals and three points merit the honour as the player of the night for the D Thursday division.
