(7)Whalers vs Steelers(5)
Only Three Whalers found the back of the net but it was plenty for a wild 7-5 win over the Steelers. Once again the captain took charge as S.Shorkey scored twice and added two helpers on N.Mode’s tallies. The rest of the scoring belonged to newly added T.Fleury who netted his clubs last three goals for a hat trick. It came a little too late but the Steelers fought hard in the third notching three straight goals to pull within one. S.Karagioules and C.Retsinas helped make the come back happen by posting a pair of markers each.
(4)Buckshots vs Werewolves(6) S.O
M.Mavroudis struck with his second late in the game to even the score for the Buckshots before dropping the contest in a shootout. The Werewolves saw their lead challenged on three occasions and needed a shootout to claim the win thanks to a pair of sweet goals from J.Manteiga and A.Zarzour. It wasn’t an easy result, but it came against last seasons champs as the Werewolves will use this win as confidence moving forward.
(0)Fat Cats vs Punishers(3)
If the Fats Cats could have avoided taking a bunch of penalties, this result may have turned out different. The Punishers had their chances in the second period to grab the lead, instead they opened the scoring by the mid way point of the final frame where C.Gagnon was finally able to break the barrier. M.Goodz doubled the lead moments later, and T.Lauvigne confirmed another win for the Punishers ending the night with an empty net marker. The Fat Cats attempted nearly 30 shots on net and weren’t able get anything passed B.Goodz.
(7)Infiniti/Park Avenue vs Primetime(4)
Infiniti/Park Avenue started strong and finished even better as they downed Primetime 7-4 on Wednesday night. After scoring early in the second period, Y.Gazura felt generous setting up three third period goals. A.Stamiris had a multi goal game for the win while A.Delvasto did the same for Primetime. With only one loss in five games, Pedram Assadi and his troops look to be in solid form so far.
(9)NWV vs Purple Cobras(3)
The first period wasn’t to convincing for NWV, but as the game went on the veteran squad was able to pull away. The game took one direction right away in the second period when C.Menniti scored his first of two on the night. NWV surged with six unanswered goals that saw M.Hadjar net his second and A.Hakim bury a pair less than four minutes apart. Leading to that point, J.Goral was also able to score twice making it four different NWV players with two goals a piece. As for the Purple Cobras, L.Primiani was there best player bagging two out of his clubs three goals.
(3)Chaos vs Ducks(4)
D.Lonardi keeps on making a difference as the quick forward played plenty of minutes participating in all four goals for the Ducks. With only two changes on their bench, the Ducks had to play until the final whistle to earn a difficult win. Lonardi scored twice and was able to set up his captain A.Carvajal along with N.Hairabedian with goals both coming in the second period. Chaos put up a good fight getting a pair of points from there captain M.D’Alessandro and T.Duong only to drop what was a close second period.

Saturday February 28
(4)RBK Knights vs Hellfish(6)
J.Goral scores two as the Hellfish use a big third period to defeat the RBK Knights. After trading the same amount of goals in the opening two frames, J.Goral decided the outcome by beating a tired M.Melo on two straight occasions. The RBK Knights took the lead only once in the game when F.Bchara bagged his second by the ten minute mark of the second period. The Hellfish won the closing battle responding with three straight markers. F.Benhamadi also scored twice for the win while P.Santullo had the most points for the RBK Knights with three helpers.
(8)TANK vs Tyrants(2)
With the kind of speed Tank posses, not many teams are able to keep up. The Tyrants don’t often lose by such a margin which just goes to show how difficult their opponents really are. The young squad went to work right away building a 3-0 lead just six minutes into the game. A.Jalilvand crushed any hopes of a comeback after netting two second period tallies which led to a pressure less third period where B.Deslauriers accumulated his fourth point of the campaign.
(9)Brewers vs Lokomotiv(2)
The Brewers enjoyed a nice Saturday afternoon with a convincing 9-2 win over the Lokomotiv. R.Hagen had a good early start setting up three out of the Brewers first four goals of the day and T.Fernando had an even better ending bagging three tallies for his hat trick. A.Watts struck with back to back goals making the score 4-0.Lokomotiv only got on the board by the final frame where M.Abdi scored twice that included a short handed marker.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Bradley Goodz. Solid goaltending was the reason why the Punishers have yet to drop a game this season.
