(5)Capitals vs Ultimate Blast(1) Game 1
In six attempts, the Capitals scored three power play goals to defeat the Ultimate Blast 5-1 in their series opener. C.Ghilarducci snapped a 1-1 tie with the five man unit, and the Capitals never looked back getting efforts from five different goal scorers. Apart from allowing an early tally by E.Dumerlus, the Capitals net minder C.Fortin had no issues protecting his cage the rest of the way.
(1)Ultimate Blast vs Capitals(1) Game 2
It wasn’t their most convincing result, but the Capitals did just enough to advance to the finals. For over two periods, the Ultimate Blast carried a 1-0 lead and held on to it until allowing a back breaking short handed marker. It came to no ones surprise that M.Champagne was the one to strike when it counted the most as he’s done many times before. The Ultimate Blast showed plenty in this contest and came that close to forcing a third and deciding game if it wasn’t for C.Fortin’s solid performance between the pipes.
(0)Crooners vs Bramabulls(9) Game 1
The Bramabulls entered the night confident, and were able to topple the Crooners easily to grab immediate control of the series. Barely nine minutes in, this contest was put to rest as the bulls produced five goals that saw C.Chirola strike twice before netting his hat trick by the second period. The Crooners abandoned the match earlier than usual in hopes of preserving some energy for game 2.
(7)Bramabulls vs Crooners(3) Game 2
Despite having a way better start to the match, the Crooners weren’t able to keep up by the second frame. The Bramabulls only pulled away by the ten minute mark of the second period when J.Mandracchia scored his first of two on the night for a 3-1 lead. The bulls later added two goals late in the frame and a couple more by the third to take the series in two games. A.Mirolla also scored twice for the win while Mandracchia had the most points finishing his game with two goals and three assists.

F.Chalut and the Capitals will use their 3-0 season series record against the Bramabulls as motivation in next week’s battle. That surely won’t affect A.DiPerna and his troops as they’ll only look ahead to try and cause a surprise.

(9)Venom vs Steakfrites(2) 4 vs 5
It wasn’t much of a fight, but Venom will take the result as they move one step closer to where they want to be. T.Perluzzo tasted goals in every frame for his hat trick while six other players found their scoring touch versus a defenceless net minder. A.Mancini stood tall in nets for over two periods before allowing Steakfrites only two goals.

After finishing first of the division, the Armadillos will get Venom in the semi finals while the Left Wings look to take on the Raging Rhinos.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Claude Fortin of the Capitals. The net minder allowed only two goals in both games and was a major reason why the Capitals are in the finals.
