(5)Slayers vs Sons of Terrebonne(1) Game 1
As much as the Sons of Terrebonne put up a fight, the Slayers proved to be to strong in game one of their series. The division leaders reduced the tension when P.Bibeau increased the lead on the power play forcing their opponents to open up. S.Landry eventually put the Sons of Terrebonne on the board late in the second period but that was all they managed by N.Beaudet. After combining for an overall solid team game, the Slayers used three balanced lines and got production from many weapons that saw only P.Musto accumulated the most points with two helpers.
(2)Sons of Terrebonne vs Slayers(9) Game 2
The Slayers continued where they left off and used their depth to reach what they’ve been playing for all season long. Once the second period hit, this series was unchallenged as the Slayers surged with key goals before putting the game away by the third. J.Desmarais has a wrist shot that appears to be harder than most players slap shots as the sniper buried four goals and added three assists in a seven point performance. Not too far behind him was A.Gentile who also nodded a hat trick, and while for a second straight game, N.Beaudet kept the confidence of his club by allowing only two tallies.
With only three regular season wins, the Sons of Terrebonne turned many heads in the post season after taking out the Smackdaddys in round one, and the Spartans in the semi finals. As for the Slayers, there isn’t much that can beat experience, talent and the fact of playing with three lines when it counts the most. On behalf of Hockeyballe.com we would like to congratulate Eddy Maroun and the Slayers for getting it done.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Josh Desmarais. The power forward produced a whopping eight points in only two games to help lead his club to glory.
