D.Brunetti’s hat trick powers Trashers past Carnage

D.Brunetti scored two first period goals along with an insurance marker to help the SBS Trashers to a third win in four games. From start to finish, the Trashers showed plenty of intensity winning many one on one battles. The winning side struck twice on two power play chances and won every frame thanks to their net minder F.Vigliotti, who once more was stellar in goal. Brunetti benefited twice in the first period with the help of his captain E.Panzera’s perfect feeds.

P.E.Y.O uses six third period goals to trounce Eagles

Led by K.Fiore’s outstanding performance, P.E.Y.O blew out the Eagles in one single period. The unstoppable forward took plenty of the load on his shoulders producing six points that included three straight markers for his club. Fiore snapped a 2-2 third period tie notching two quick goals for a 4-2 lead. The hot forward wasn’t done yet, adding two power play assists to distant the match. S.Marashlian and J.Pantelis were also productive combining for eight points. It took three games but the P.E.Y.O are glad to capture their first win of the season.

National save best for last, explode with five third period markers

For two full periods, National struggled to find their groove but that changed when the game was on the line. Once F.Tremblay scored to even the game at two goals a piece, it was all downhill for the Mohicans. National fuelled off the momentum adding plenty of goals that saw S.Laplante and E.Ferlatte bury their second of the game. He didn’t find the back of the net but the captain M.Pinheiro was heavily involved setting up three markers. The Mohicans entered the night with a perfect 3-0 record, and were on their way to a fourth straight win until a third period collapse.

French Connection routes Bullets 9-5

A slow start may have been an issue for the French Connection on Thursdays night but they had their finger on the ignition and exploded four second period goals before adding four more by the third. The scoring barrage opened with one of their main leaders J.Farrese, who was all over the court making plenty of things happen. The solid centre man bagged a hat trick while adding four assists. J-F Belanger benefited twice from the feeds. O.Valiquette also had a two goal game for the win. The Magic Bullets, despite dropping the contest got a solid three goal performance by L.Helias-Blain.

Bramabulls got stronger as game progressed, downing the Arms 7-2

Like on most nights, the Bramabulls use a deep bench and it paid off as they played hard till the very last whistle. F.Venditti may have notched the games most important goal. The power forward scored the game’s lone second period tally on the power play to give the Bramabulls a 4-2 lead. That forced the United Arms to start taking chances, who weren’t able to figure out G.Follano at that point. The Bramabull net minder rejected 21 of 23 shots. P.Rivera had a multi goal night and the Bramabulls are glad to be where they are after a slow start to the season.

Short bench didn’t matter, Kennedy Crew continue to impress

Playing with only one change isn’t usually the way to go but that didn’t affect the Kennedy Crew who just improved to 4-0.For a third straight game, the Chiefs found themselves playing from behind. Despite fighting back to even the score, the Kennedy Crew demoralized   their opponents when C.Flikas scored with under a second remaining in the second period. G.Chountalos buried four tallies that included two high light reel goals. T.Flikas helped make five goals happen with assists and B.Goodz was very good in nets never giving up the lead.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to George Chountalos of the Kennedy Crew. Playing with barely any players, the Kennedy Crew had G.Chountalos put on a show bagging four out of his clubs seven goals.
