Ultimate Hockey roll over Arms in 7-1 rout

It wasn’t for a lack of trying or competing, but a short bench for the United Armenians standard just won’t cut it. The Ultimate Hockey did what they do best and that is to out run you every time there is a loose ball to win. Despite the seven goals that went in, many had to come fromm the outside. The United Armenians protected their slot area well and did a good overall job with their coverage but couldn’t get enough ball possession to keep up with quicker side. A.Paul was the only multi goal scorer combining for six points with F.Tremblay, who set up three different teammates. R.Province was thinking about earning a shutout up until J.A Belcher stormed down the left wing to beat the net minder with a hard rising wrist shot. G.Missakian knows that he doesn’t have a choice to get a complete lineup in order to keep up. For now, the United Armenians will take it a week at a time and keep developing learning all the little things required to compete at a very high level.

(5)Red Lite vs HBHA(3)

P.DiGiacomo hailed by teammates after bagging all 5 goals

The Red Lite forward was in unstoppable form riffling all five goals in a close 5-3 win over the HBHA. DiGiacomo’s five-goal haul included a ten minute hat trick in the first period alone, but his most important goal may have come in a shorthanded situation by the four minute mark of the second period. The HBHA missed out on the opportunity and were forced to play down three goals rather than pulling within one. Despite the bad luck, the HBHA did play better as the game progressed netting two straight tallies by N.Pitsikoulis and M.Arkalis. At that point, Red Lite may have felt a little under siege with ten minutes remaining but weren’t to fazed as they managed the clock to their favor. In attempt of tying the game by pulling out A.Bitsakis, it was only fitting that P.DiGiacomo would be the one to feed the empty cage. In the end, the HBHA may have felt disappointed but not too concerned knowing that they gave a power house a real run for their money.

(4)Black Knights vs Team Haiti(0)

Team Haiti stumped by P-O Girouard in shutout loss to Knights

Team Haiti finished the night at the wrong end of a 4-0 shutout by the Black Knights. P-O Girouard made 28 saves for the clean slate victory, while the Team Haiti net minder had a tougher time giving up at least one goal in every period. The Black Knights opened the game with a solid first period producing two goals that included a power play marker by P.Musto. Unable to get back into the game, Team Haiti had to battle through layers of defense before trying to solve the wall in front of them. S.Sacco and M.Lastoria also went on to score for the Black Knights who collected a sixth win in eight starts.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Philippe DiGiacomo of Red Lite. The forward did something remarkable posting all five goals in a 5-3 win over the HBHA.
