Captain C.Zafiropoulos strikes twice in win over Dragons

C.Zafiropoulos had two goals and an assist, and J.Pantelis scored the winner just past the mid way point of the game to down the Dragons early on in the season. The captain wasted no time getting his name on the score sheet barley 90 seconds into the game. To his help, P.Elizardo sent two perfect passes to his captain while scoring once as well. At no point were Fat Roy in any sort of trouble. The Dragons fell behind very early and were forced to play catch up all night long. They did however make things interesting when L.Dulcetta and P.Cardillo tallied late in the second frame, but that was as good as it got. F.Vigliotti got credited the win after facing 19 shots over his counterpart P.Assadi, who didn’t get the start he wanted.

Underdogs hang on to edge out Trappers

A dominant start carried the Underdogs in what ended up as a nail biter in the end. P.Nakhle made the score 3-0 with his second, and the Underdogs looked to have an easy night just six minutes into the contest. But whether it was the Underdogs slowing down or the Trappers just finding their groove, this contest went undecided up until the final buzzer. The Trappers climbed back into the game with help of D.Lavalee’s three points. J.Richer wasn’t too pleased with his start between the pipes but shook off plenty of rust as the game went on. In the end, the Underdogs tightened up and found a way to not concede the equalizer with half a period remaining.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Costa Zafiropoulos of Fat Roy. Leading by example, the veteran sharp shooter keeps on finding the back of the net. The Fat Roy captain posted two goals and an assist in a 5-3 win over the Dragons.
