Black Venom add more fuel to high octane offense

The Spartans came out stronger flexing their muscles that resulted in a 2-0 first period lead. But with the fire power that the Black Venom has, it was only a question of time that their defining attribute would unfold. The flood gates eventually opened and the goals came seemingly at will with many players contributing. C.Gingras led the way bagging a hat trick while the rest of the goals were spread out evenly. The Spartans didn’t play an overall bad game considering the score. The meltdown took place in the span of nine minutes where the Black Venom completely outmatched their opponents. S.Lavoie also netted a hat trick that came in a losing cause.

(4)Bolts vs HC Inter(5) O.T

M.Dalpe powers HC Inter to amazing 5-4 overtime win

M.Dalpe’s second goal and third point of the game gave the HC Inter a thrilling overtime win on Wednesday night over the Bolts. The HC Inter grabbed three straight leads before finally getting it right by the sudden death frame. At no point did the Bolts throw in the towel. B.Bentivegna scored twice in the loss with his clubs first two tallies. Each side scored once on the power play and both goaltenders battled hard keeping the contest extremely close. The winner came with the help of P-L Poirier who collected three points at very crucial times during the match.

(6)Gladiateurs vs Hellfish(4)

Gladiateurs build comfortable lead to hold off Hellfish

Offense was easy to come by for a couple of Les Gladiateurs’s players. J.Vena carried most of the load participating in all six goals that came with the help of M.Turgeon and V.Hache with both players combining for seven points. The Hellfish did strike early on but fell in a dry funk for well over two full periods before finally ending the drought. By then, the Bulldogs were up 4-1 and appeared to be in good shape until conceding two unanswered goals. Fortunately enough, J.Vena was simply too good on this night as forward helped regain a cushion in the span of just over a minute by scoring and assisting on J.Therrien Boyer’s insurance marker.

(3)Les Raymonds vs Primetime(5)

Primetime respond with 4 unanswered goals to ground Les Raymonds

After M.Deninno and M-D Pereira scored goals for Les Raymonds to grab a 2-0 lead, Primetime responded with four unanswered markers that all came in the second period. The effort wasn’t brought forth by any one particular player. Although C.Flikas did participate in three of the goals that included a pair of helpers, Primetime saw four different players chip away for goals. Les Raymonds did regroup after a bad sequence with a quick response by N.Richer-Bond. Unfortunately, a costly penalty led to a power play marker by no other than C.Flikas to put Primetime back in the driver’s seat the rest of the way.

(7)Raging Rhinos vs Fat Cats(1)

G.Vouloumanos hat trick paces Rhinos 7-1 win over Fat Cats

G.Vouloumanos scored twice in the first eleven minutes and finished the night with three goals and an assist as the Raging Rhinos blew by the Fat Cats 7-1.Vouloumanos completed his hat trick late in the third period with the game way out of reach. The Raging Rhinos led 4-0 before giving up their only goal. J.Guerriero was the only Fat Cat to beat N.Mauro, who faced close to 20 shots to earn the win in net. The win puts the Rhinos on top of the F2 division for now with nine points in four games.

Arms score four special teams goals in rout of Latin Blue

There was little the United Arms didn’t do right through the entire match. And though they didn’t score much in the second, when all was said and done they’d scored three times on the power play, once shorthanded, controlled the play for much of the game and received strong goaltending by C.Stavriadis. Much of the goal scoring came by two players. Y.Derohannessian led all teammates with three goals while H.Jerjian notched a pair. The United Arms just landed their third win in four starts while the Latin Blue are still searching for their first victory of the season.

Keith Simon scores hat trick, Reapers improve to 3-0

The Reapers forward Keith Simon had a big night netting half of his team’s goals to continue the season in very fine form. Simon notched back to back tallies only a minute apart for a 2-0 first period lead. The Reapers didn’t stop there adding three more tallies by the second with scoring efforts by three different players. The RBK Knights only got on board past the mid way point of the match. Unfortunately by then it was a little too late despite putting four behind the Reapers net minder. J.Pantelis fared well in the loss posting two goals.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Jacob Vena of Les Gladiateurs. In all six goals, J.Vena was involved in one way or another by scoring twice while setting up four teammates.
