Captain leads the way, J.Blackman collects 6 points

J.Blackman led the way with six points including a hat trick and D.Bourque had no problems collecting a shutout as the rampaging Shockers cruised to a 10-0 blowout over Team Sportek. The win was the third in only four games for the Shockers who strung together three straight after dropping their season opener to the Brew Crew. T.Salberg and M.Blackman almost certainly were going to be involved as both players tallied twice. The night ended earlier than usual for both sides due to the ten goal mercy rule. The Shockers bagged their tenth goal just prior to the end of the second period to put an end to the game.

(12)Red Nose vs Hit List(11)

Red Nose edge out Hit List in what looked like an all star game

Well, this was quite the game. Although most people would have expected a few goals considering each team’s defense corps, but it’s hard to nail down a 12-11 prediction. In the first half of the game, it didn’t look so good for the Red Nose having to play with a major deficit. But the Red Nose did answer and in a big way as the match went on. The red machine scored eight times in the second portion of the match and managed a 12-8 lead before the Hit List attempted their comeback with three straight markers. It was inevitable that N.Delia would have nodded at least three goals out of the twelve that went in. The Red Nose also had M.Latreille match his teammates goal production while C.Gingras and S.Aubertin each tallied twice. As for the Hit List, it’s in their DNA to play these types of games. The good news is that they can score despite the outcomes. J-F Huppe and J.Daoust had three goal performances while D.Corbeil and L.Richard bagged a pair.

High scoring second half powers Brew Crew past Immigrant

After a close battle for nearly half the game, the Brew Crew took over, running up the score with four goals in both the second and third periods. D.Verta continues to shine as the Brew Crew forward set up his clubs first two tallies before finding the back of the net on three occasions. L.Verta notched the Brew Crew’s second goal to provide a 3-1 lead just prior to the mid way point of the match. It was at that point on that Les Immigrants were unable to keep up with their opponent. The only bright moment occurred when A.Henzi struck early on the power play to solve C.Muccino for the first and only time in the game.

(3)Fatal Demons vs Butchers (6)

D.Ruiz leads Butchers to first win of season

D.Ruiz made an immediate impact as the new addition riffled a hat trick to help put the Butchers in the win column. The win came with the help of a few new players dressing for the first time. One, being their net minder N.Mackeen,who faced close to 30 shots. C.Maltese played a vital role as well sparking the opening goal while capping off the night with a late marker. The Butchers couldn’t have asked for a better result, especially after trailing towards the end of the second period for the character win. The Fatal Demons got two goals by Marco Diaco and played well for two periods up until melting down by the third.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Dylan Ruiz of the Butchers. The new addition powered  a hat trick in a 6-3 win over the Fatal Demons.
