(3)Stones vs Devil Dawgz(7)
Short bench didn’t matter for Devil Dawgz
Despite playing with a very short bench, the Devil Dawgz still had their way versus the Stones. Neither side got on board for nearly half the game, but once G.Berberyan struck, the flood gates opened for the Devil Dawgz. From-there, N.Pacheco made the Stones pay with three quick goals for a 4-1 lead after two periods. The third period didn’t slow down G.Berberyan, who matched Pacheco’s goal production by bagging a pair. The win came with only two changes against a squad with just over two lines. This isn’t a result where the Stones can look back and say they didn’t have T.Settino to their lineup. It’s just plain and simply unacceptable.
(0)Hawks vs HBHA Seniors(5)
Hawks struggles continue vs top gunners
It’s the third and last time both sides meet in the regular season and the Hawks have yet to match up versus the HBHA Seniors. The score indicates it being lopsided but the Hawks had plenty of ball possession and scoring chances only to hit a wall. C.Stavriadis never allowed the game to be close as the net minder enabled his side to slowly build their lead as the match went on. Five different players found the back of the net. K.Hrivnak scored first by the seven minute mark of the opening frame, a goal that proved to be just enough for the three points.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Nilton Pacheco of the Devil Dawgz. In the span of only five minutes, the Devil Dawgz forward ultimately decided the match with a hat trick.
