Black Venom unleash offensive onslaught

Goals for the Black Venom came fast and furious on Wednesday night. In every period, the Black Venom salted away the victory with a flurry of goals getting at least four to five in every frame. M.Gagnon went on a rampage posting four in a row while N.Gilbert fell next in line bagging a hat trick. It took barely seven minutes into the game for the Spartans to realise they almost certainly had no chance. The Black Venom scored two late first period goals to make the score 5-1, and only expanded their huge lead as the game went on. A.Jalilvand and B.Deslauriers shared two goals each. As for the Spartans, A.Franceschini and T.Oliveira took care of the offense netting a pair apiece.

H.Jerjian nets huge shorty as part of hat trick for Arms

The Reapers led by three goals on three occasions and still couldn’t fend off the United Arms who made a remarkable comeback. With no quit to their game, H.Jerjian was behind the madness as the United Arms forward was clearly on a mission to help his side get back on track. Jerjian scored twice in the second period and once in the third to complete his hat trick. The Reapers can only look back and wonder how they let this one go. After jump starting the night with two power play goals by A.Simon, the Reapers may have lost this match by giving up the game winner on their very own five man unit. It was by then that H.Jerjian struck in a shorthanded situation that completed the comeback and the hat trick.

A.Jalilvand’s OT winner keeps door open for RBK Knights

The RBK Knights will live another day after this must win against the team they are chasing for the last playoff spot. The win was heavily relied on everyone pulling their weight in order to capture the two points. What made this even more special for the RBK Knights was that they had to overcome a 3-0 deficit in order to get the result. F.Bchara and A.Papazian collected two goals each, and after setting up three straight markers, A.Jalilvand bailed his club out by notching the season saver. With the win, the RBK Knights pulled themselves within two points of Les Raymonds, who each have one game left to go in the regular season.

Fats Cats bully Bolts in 9-0 drubbing

S.Hrivnak sparked his side with an impressive four goals and the Fat Cats took control-from the outset en route to a 9-0 onslaught over the Bolts. G.Sangiovanni turned aside 15 shots to help his club collect only their third win in eight games. This contest had lots of significance for both sides in their attempt to avoid last place. The win gets the Fat Cats out of the cellar position at least for now as they are battling a few teams in their quest for a playoff spot. P.Nadeau had a three point night that included two goals and J.Scalia, E.Panzera along with L.Folini were very productive as all three players combined for thirteen points.

J.Vena nets four, Les Gladiateurs use five power play goals to beat Primetime

The Gladiateur caught Primetime’s penalty-killing unit on an off night. And while the special teams weren’t working, that was just one of many problems for the losing side. Primetime couldn’t contain three particular players that did most of the damage. First, J.Vena led all players with four goals while M.Turgeon and M.Gelinas weren’t far behind each posting hat tricks. The game took barely fifteen minutes for Les Gladiateurs to bury seven goals. At that point, Primetime just hung in there hoping the game would end sooner than later.

Hellfish snap Latin Blue five game winning streak

As good as things have been going lately for Latin Blue so far, they weren’t able to figure out the Hellfish on this night. The Hellfish snapped Latin Blue’s five game winning streak to share top seed of the division with the United Arms. Led by one of their go to guys, N.Bourgeois scored in every frame to record a hat trick. The Hellfish wasted no time getting in front boasting to a 3-0 first period lead. M.Revolorio and M.Chartrand each scored on the power play and B.Verducci was solid enough stopping 21 of 23 shots. With only two losses, the Hellfish have the most goals for and least goals against heading into the post season.

M-O Galarneau keeps HC Inter in the hunt with four goals and a helper

M-O Galarneau scored for times while adding an assist in a stunning solo performance for the HC Inter. It’s almost safe to say that without him, the HC Inter would have needed a miracle to capture a playoff spot. Instead, the fate lies in their own hands with two games left to go only to trail the Bolts by one point, who have only one game remaining. The HC Inter came through by the third period where they used two unanswered goals to overcome a slight deficit. M.Dalpe received a perfect pass by Galarneau to tie the game, and then returned the favour to his line mate minutes later for the game winner that came on the power play.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Austin Jalilvand of the RBK Knights. In what came as a must win, the forward stepped it up setting up three straight markers before netting the sudden death winner.
