HC Inter exit early after blowing four goal lead

Defence was largely an afterthought as both teams, particularly the HC Inter that blew a 4-0 first period lead. But it wasn’t the fact of dropping the game the way they did, but more so when in the season. The problem was that the HC Inter needed as least two points to secure a playoff spot. Unfortunately, things went from-high to its lowest point. The Raging Rhinos erupted by the second posting three goals and continued their onslaught by the third adding five more tallies. The HC Inter couldn’t figure out what hit them after such a great start to the night. The comeback was led by S.Pilon and F.Remon as both players combined for seven goals. Pilon had the most bagging four tallies while Remon completed his hat trick in an empty net. The win secures a second place finish for the Raging Rhinos.

Spartans trounce Fat Cats to finish season strong

T.Oliveira went on a scoring binge and it couldn’t have come at a better time. The Spartans ended their season thanks to their sniper who bursted out with four goals and S.Lavoie that struck three times to earn a hat trick. Both players showcased what they can bring up front which will be vital in their post season schedule ahead of them. The Fat Cats held in there for a couple of periods but were totally outmatched by the third where they gave up five goals. J.Scalia provided much of the offence participating in all four goals in the loss. The only thing each side had in common in this game was that they benefited twice on their two lone chances on the power play.

B.Deslauriers nods four goals to win scoring race

B.Deslauriers had another productive season, this time winning the goal scoring and point’s race of the F Wednesday division. Known for his blistering slap shot, B.Deslauriers ended his season in style by bagging four goals and a helper to lead all players. The great news for the Black Venom is that they don’t have only Deslauriers to rely on. J.Quesnel-Vinet has plenty of vision and patience to distribute the ball at the right given moment. The crafty forward collected five helpers that included an assist on one of two goals by M.Baccari. With the season coming to an end, the Black Venom dominated the goal scoring department with 78 goals in only ten games.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Brian Deslauriers of the Black Venom. The goal scoring machine added four tallies and an assist to lead all players of the F division with 38 points.

In a division of 7 teams, the top six will be moving forward to the post season. The Black Venom and the Raging Rhinos will skip the first round and get an automatic pass to the semi finals. The first round match ups are as follows:

(3)Horsemen vs Bolts(6) Horsemen will look to use their depth while the Bolts may have to rely on their big guns to produce.

(4)Spartans vs Fat Cats(5) Both sides have the scoring punch up front. With that being said, it may come down to see who will win the goaltending battle between G.Sangiovanni and M.Chamoun.
