Fat Roy (0) VS Smackdaddys (5)
Score not reflective of way Fat Roy played.
From the start of the game Fat Roy showed up to play trying their hardest to create multiple chances. Unfortunately for them luck wasn’t on their side as they met a red-hot Y. Hassani on the other side who pushed away all the shots he faced. The Smackdaddys used four different players to get their scoring done but K. Arsenault was the sole player to solve F. Vigliotti twice who stood on his head to keep his club alive all game long.
Punishers (7) VS Venom (5)
Costly penalty at the end of game costs Venom the game.
From the initial ball drop both teams had showed up to play a very offensive game style. As each team exchanged three goals a piece in the first period. Venom finally took the lead with two straight goals entering the final 15-minute frame, but the game was not over. As a few costly penalties derailed Venom, the Punishers took advantage of their chances to comeback and score four unanswered goals. P. Karvouriaris and T. Karvouriaris each scored a hat trick to help collect three points for their club, while E. Giouard and J. Parisella each scored two goals a piece in a losing effort.
The Tropics (3) VS Smackdaddys (4)
Late push by The Tropics not enough to take the game.
A deep bench proved to be the difference in this game. As the Smackdaddys had just played an hour ago, they showed no sign of fatigue in their second game. The Smackdaddys ensured a strong second period scoring four unanswered goals thanks in large part to their captain K. Arsenault who scored two goals. A late push in the third period by The Tropics was not enough as V. Crivello scored two goals to cut the lead to one but time was not on his side to score one more.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Kevin Arsenault of the Smackdaddys. In a double header night, the talented forward collected six points and insured a valuable 6 points in the standings for his club.
