(5) Punishers vs Tropics(0)
N.Pitsikoulis, N.Mackeen and the Punishers stun the Tropics
It’s one thing to defeat the Tropics, but it’s another when you are able to shut them out for the entire game. The Punishers did a few remarkable things on Wednesday night. First off, N.Pitsikoulis went on a tear igniting four out of the five goals. Second, N.Mackeen faced 22 shots to shutout a team that normally scores at will. And finally third off, the Punishers all pulled their weight together making sure to play a full out 45 minute game. If there is something to look back for the Tropics that went wrong was their inability to fair well with their special teams. The Punishers used three power play goals to hurt their opponent. Another problem was that V.Crivello usually has his name in the point’s column rather that the penalty column as the scoring leader took more than ten minutes of playing time away-from the court.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Nick Pitsikoulis of the Punishers. The brilliant forward was just simply too good on this night bagging an impressive four goals en route to a 5-0 victory over the Tropics.
