(6)Horsemen vs Acolytes(3) F2 Game 1

M.Chartrand bags two straight for comfortable cushion

The Horsemen came to play and it showed rounding off a satisfying victory. M.Chartrand was pivotal for the win striking twice in the second period for a 5-2 lead. Most of the scoring occurred in opening frame with the Horsemen taking the period 3-2.R.Lefebvre had a good night despite the loss riffling two passed M.Vinciguerra. With still a chance to bounce back, Les Acolytes have no choice to adjust if they plan on moving forward.

(4)Bramabulls vs Brew Crew(6) F2 Game 1

D.Verta shorthanded goal,the turning point in Brew Crew win

The Brew Crew forward, who arguably made the biggest play couldn’t have come at a better time. D.Verta notched his second of the night early in the third period on the Bramabulls power play to provide a 5-3 lead. That golden opportunity came to bite the Bramabulls as they struggled to get their offense going against a locked down defence. D.DiGiacomoSr had an impact as well striking twice in less than a minute. Both these clubs are familiar with one another and understand each other’s tendencies very well. With game one belonging to the Brew Crew, A.DiPerna is stuck having to deal with the pressure for a week on how to gain an advantage to force a game three.

(3)Hellfish vs Primetime(4) F3 Game 1

Primetime do the unthinkable, at least for now

The only good news for the Hellfish after this battle is the fact that it’s a best of three series. But for now, Primetime have plenty to feel good about edging out a heavy favourite. The playoffs always prove to be a grind with the importance of every play and every battle required for success .In tonight’s case, Primetime believed it can be done and deserved what they got. Of course it helps when someone can carry a hot hand .L.Haouzi is familiar with finding the back of the net as his three goals including a shorthanded marker was just what the doctor ordered for his team. A.Qureshi had his work cut out for him but managed a brilliant performance facing 28 shots. It may be only game one but the Hellfish will feel the pressure knowing that they’ll need two straight wins to advance.

(5)Les Raymonds vs Les Agents Libre(9) F3 Game 1

First period explosion favors Agents Libre

Rather than playing playoff style hockey, both sides looked like they were in a school yard not caring about defense whatsoever. Les Agents Libre ignited six first period goals to grab a 6-3 lead after only 15 minutes of play. At that rate, the final score would have looked ridiculous but both sides eventually settled down helping their net minders while getting back to some good habits. J.Tortorici went on a rampage providing four goals while James Tutino sparked a pair. Each side spent their fair share of time in the penalty box which resulted in two power play goals for Les Agents Libre. Les Raymonds didn’t have the best start to the series but have time to adjust with a week to think about it.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Levi Haouzi of Primetime. In a close 4-3 win over the F3 division leaders, L.Haouzi carried much of the weight providing three out of the four goals for Primetime.
