(2)Devil Dawgz vs Bijoux(6)
Bijoux storm by Devil Dawgz for 6-2 win
Bijoux had an encouraging start to their season on Friday night. In every single frame, they outscored the Devil Dawgz showing that they can be a potential force in this division. A.Tremblay notched Bijoux's first two goals of the season followed with balanced scoring-from four different players. The Devil Dawgz had something going when G.Berberyan and A.Moniz struck only a minute apart but that was all the scoring they managed throughout the contest. One area that Bijoux will be solid in is their goaltending. Teams will quickly find out that J.Beaudry won't let too many easy ones go in. Tonight, he withstood 25 shots and will surely remain consistent throughout the entire season.
(4)National vs Black Sox(5)
National seek therapy after devastating collapse
P.Ouellette must have not expected what happened to him in the dying moments of this contest. With the game deadlocked at four goals apiece, N.Macrozonaris took a chance by shooting the ball-from his own end in hopes of some miracle play .And with only ten seconds left on the clock, that rocket somehow found its way through P.Ouellette .Luckily for National this was just a regular season game which should heal their wounds soon enough after enduring a devastating loss. But for the Black Sox, winning in this type of fashion, especially generating four out of their five goals in the third period alone will only give them confidence moving forward. B.Pereira, who takes charge of the Black Sox and N.Macrozonaris will be no strangers to finding the back of the net as both snipers each scored twice in the win.
(3)Hawks vs HBHA Seniors(0)
E.Colella's nets natural hat trick in third period, P.Assadi's shutout leads Hawks over rival
With both teams unable to get any scoring done for two straight periods, E.Colella took control of the game striking three times in the span of only five minutes. The sharp shooter used three blistering slap shots to get the better of D.Truong, who was stellar up until that point. This match saw both sides grind it out as though it was a playoff game, and that's simply because of some recent memories due to the fact of meeting in the final for consecutive seasons. The Hawks wanted nothing more than to defeat their rival regardless what's at stake .For now, the battle was won but the war will continue on. P.Assadi was also major reason why this resulted ended the way it did. The net minder battled every shot his way and denied 26 attempts towards him to shutout a club that normally scores at will.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to E.Colella of the Hawks. In the span of only five minutes, E.Colella was the only player to score in this contest with three cannons.
