Dragons couldn't keep up in double loss to 1 Timer
With a chance to put a strangle hold for first place, the Dragons didn't do themselves any favors on Monday night. There depleted line up hurt them twice with the second match ending in a landslide. S.Koch snapped a 1-1 tie in the opening contest using a blistering slap shot which was just enough en route to a close 2-1 win. The second game wasn't anywhere close like the first one. By the time the first period ended, the 1 Timer exploded with four straight goals looking much quicker than a more tired Dragons side. That momentum continued on for five more minutes with the game ending earlier than usual because of the seven goal mercy rule. T.Daigneault and P- Surprenant each scored twice, their captain S.Koch collected four more helpers and F.Koch was stellar allowing only two goals all night. When considering where both teams are placed in the standings, this result will only help inspire the 1 Timer to overcome a subpar season with the playoffs just around the corner.

Nightmares stuck in a bad dream
In what was expected to be a heated, intense and competitive match up didn't live up to its full potential as both sides played with a short bench. But with the playing field still pretty balanced, the Breeze Panareeze managed to pull off two straight wins. The first game was decided in the first period with J.Pantelis and S.Marricco each getting the better of L.Dias for a 2-0 lead. The Nightmares did attempt a late push when T.Tsarouhas finally solved C.Stavriadis but that was as close as it got. In hopes of bouncing back to even the score, the Nightmares suffered the same fate once gain. They did manage to tie the game with two brilliant goals by J.Rochon but that only lasted so long. Both sides knew how crucial the next tally would be, and with time winding down, who other than a natural sniper to spoil the tie. E.Girouard scored a goal that he's done at least a million times-from his office using his patented one timer that found its way for a second time in only five minutes. That tally forced the Nightmares to pull out L.Dias which eventually led to an empty net tally courtesy of J.Pantelis. That was Pantelis's second goal and fourth point of the match.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Sylvestre Koch of the 1 Timer. The stable defenseman was extremely vital for both wins. He snapped a 1-1 tie in the opening game before adding four helpers to finish with an impressive six point night.
