Mighty Drunks take Jokers by storm
The pace of the Mighty Drunks was too much to handle for the Jokers. By keeping the ball long enough, the lanes would keep opening up and the Mighty Drunks would seize their opportunities. Both wins came with the help of a collective effort. M.Arkalis, S.Castonguay, G.Chountalos and A.Tedone shared two goals each while P.Arkalis was behind setting up four teammates. The other contest had no one stand out as well with four different players finding the back of the net. Even though it was an inter -league match up, the Jokers weren't pleased with their overall performance. A.Giorgios was their best player scoring two out of their four goals.

Walking Tall finish strong despite going empty handed
If the Punishers thought the first game was going to be an indication of the second, than they were completely wrong. Perhaps they had reason to believe it would have been the case after a convincing 8-2 blowout win, but with the Walking Tall regrouping, a much different game transpired. Still, the Punishers came out on top barely with a 4-3 outcome. C.Gingras was once again simply in a league of his own. In the opening contest, Gingras pretty much won it striking four times as part of a six point performance. However, he wasn't the only one to strike several times as his captain J.Fidrilis notched a hat trick while setting up Gingras twice. With the second contest being a way tighter game, the Punishers needed back to back goals only two minutes apart in order to grab the win. A.Centis broke the late tie right after K.Tsoukalas evened the score.

Late collapse stuns Corporation
Three minutes felt like an eternity, but that's how much time was left when A.Stamiris came through for the Hustlers. Despite being down twice, the Hustlers overcame their deficit every time before winning it late in the game. This was a particular match that had one player steal the show. After cutting the lead in half on a clear cut breakaway, A.Stamaris used his patented slap shot twice that went right thorough the net to collect a hat trick. With that game in the books, the Corporation had to figure out a way to forget a devastating loss. Unfortunately they fell behind quickly and were forced to play catch up the rest of the way. The Hustlers made them pay early on with P.Assadi setting up three goals that saw T.Bozinakis benefit twice. But the best was yet to come when J.Rochon launched two precise shots that gave no chance to S.Morante. Even though they dropped both games, the Corporation made the Hustlers work for every play till the final whistle.

Punishers trade shutouts with the Corporation
With the Punishers taking the first game 4-0, the Corporation replied in the night cap en route to a 5-0 win. It wasn't a case of lack of chances or offense-from both sides. In the example of the first game, P.Stamkopoulos kept frustrating his opponents making plenty of key stops while getting a balanced scoring effort-from four different players. After feeling snake bitten, the Corporation knew they needed that one goal to gain some confidence. J.Pantelis was able to provide it early enough and the Corporation used it to their advantage. By the time the first period ended, they had built a 3-0 lead and never looked back knowing that L.Dias was between the pipes. Both net minders faced about 17 shots each to earn respective shutouts.
