Black Knights offense halted in shutout loss, River Rats reach final stage

Unable to reverse their trend in the previous encounter, the Black Knights just couldn't dissect the River Rats defence. Both sides knew the game was going to be tight and understood fully well how important that first goal would be. M.Crialese was able to crack the barrier followed immediately with another tally-from J.Morina just prior to the opening frame ending. Despite their being enough hockey for a response, the Black Knights kept getting chewed up in the neutral zone struggling to generate any sort of offense. M.Dettorre would eventually add an insurance marker while C.Stavriadis pushed away every shot his way to record a shutout. The River Rats couldn't have asked for a better display of hockey throughout the series. In both games, they dominated the offensive generating a total of eight goals and in their own back end where they just allowed one tally.

GK cruise with easy win over United Armenians

One thing has been clear this season so far, the GK take no prisoners. By winning as easily as they did, the GK have a lot going for them in the days to come. It's often looked like they're playing a video game with the settings permanently placed at rookie level with little to no resistance-from their opponents. But this was only step one for the highly skilled GK, who still have plenty of work ahead of them before reaching their final destination. Their next opponent is a completely different animal. The River Rats will look to go toe to toe with their rival adversary. And when considering how well they fared versus the Black Knights, the final can only suggest for a clash of two power houses. Look for the two sides to play a close and intense style game that can easily go either way.
