Punishers use three third period goals to edge out AREZ
It was a three unanswered goal third period that put the Punishers over Arez for a 7-4 win on Tuesday night. Even with the Punishers taking the final frame, the game was extremely close and could have gone either way. T.Bozinakis snapped a 4-4 tie by the four minute mark of the third period and C.Stavriadis had his best moments not allowing anything by him. The Punishers excelled on their special teams scoring twice with the man advantage and once shorthanded. C.Gagnon was the only multi goal scorer in the win that included a blistering slap shot that had eyes . When considering how many more players the Arez were in comparison to the Punishers, a lengthy game would suggest to favour a deeper bench. However, that wasn't the case as the Punishers just played it smart by protecting their lead while playing the clock to their advantage.

AREZ grind it out to end night on positive note
Grinding out games may be the Arez's formula for the foreseeable future. When rolling the amount of players they have dressed, a solid work etiquette may perhaps be their biggest strength. The Capitals had to endure the frustrations of going up against a resilient fore-check that barely gave them any time with the ball. For a team that's used to putting up many goals, the Capitals had no answers with a much thinner line up. Both sides traded a first period goal before Arez took the final two frames thanks to B.Boulos and M-A Haber each finding the back of the net. After facing 25 shots, C.Malkoun was stellar between the pipes.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Chris Malkoun of AREZ. The net minder had a bounce back game limiting the high scoring Capitals to only one goal.
