SBS Trashers lethal power play dooms Sailors

They already have a high skill set in players such as Joe Scalia and F.Gentile. Clearly the SBS Trashers don't need another team's charity when it comes to scoring goals and winning hockey games .But the Smooth Sailors obliged anyway and the SBS Trashers certainly didn't refuse the gratuity as they were awarded five power play opportunities on their way to a 6-2 victory. Four out of their six goals came with the man advantage. Joe Scalia used his scoring touch to riffle a pair while setting up two teammates. F.Gentile and P.Hodhod collected three points each and R.Pampena keeps on delivering between the pipes allowing only two goals against a high powered offense. This contest was extremely close up until the third period hit where the Trashers pulled away with three unanswered goals.

Job on Demand recover after slow start

Flipping the script after an ugly start, the Job on Demand overcame a 3-1 deficit to top the Underdogs. Whatever was said in between the first and second period got the Job on Demand back on track. Actually,to the point where the Underdogs didn't see it coming. Most of the downfall occurred in the last fifteen minutes of play. J.Rochon scored an early third period goal to tie it at three. Then, five minutes later, S.Robineault put his club in front with a goal that ultimately stuck for the winner. For a rare time, the Job on Demand played a solid defensive game allowing only three goals.

Legends settling into a groove making it 3 in a row

By applying a simple brand of hockey, the Legends are getting rewarded. Almost nobody will consider them a contender after six games in, but the overall recent results are tough to ignore. The only area they failed to overcome was the penalty kill. Perhaps that had to do with how well the United Arms Jr move the ball. Y.Derohannessian made no mistake ripping a beautiful one timer while G.Jerjian came through to split the defence and beat R.Ranieri in close. On the flip side of the court, the Legends were solid five on five getting goals-from five different players. J.DeSua snapped a third period 3-3 tie for the winner. After facing 22 shots, R.Ranieri was stellar to earn the win in net.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Joe Scalia of the SBS Trashers. From-one play to another, the slick forward was definitely on top of his game accumulating two goals and two assists in a 6-2 win over the Smooth Sailors.
