Evenly matched Punishers and Yables head to shootout both times
The Punishers and Les Yables have mirrored each other statistically throughout all four periods only to settle things in a shootout. At no point did either team grab a single lead after the periods were done. With the opening match halted at three goals apiece, the Punishers did take one area of the game, and that was in the shootout. A.Laramee came in with a hard wrist shot right before C.Gingras capped it off on a sweat back hand move to trickle the ball between J-F Simard's legs. The second contest had a similar fate with the Punishers owning les Yables once more in the shootout. This time, M.Arkalis sealed off the win on a slick move that would easily make a top three goal of the season. In both wins, the Punishers took the breakaways 2-1 with N.Mackeen edging out J-F Simard.

F.Peloquin and Chic Choc limit Tocas to only 1 goal
There is no doubt that F.Peloquin is hard to beat. In both games versus the Chic Choc, the Tocas realised they had no answers on how to figure out the tall and steady net minder. It didn't matter that the Tocas shot-from far, in close or even when they thought that a wide open cage would be enough. There lone tally came only at the end of the first game when the match was already over and done with. A.Sigouin scored two goals while J-R Lemay collected a pair of points. In hopes of evening the score, the Tocas kept running into the same problem and that was to try and beat F.Peloquin. For nearly the entire game, neither side had any success finding the back of the net up until a late play decided otherwise. S.Scott found himself at the right place and at the right time to jump on a loose ball that gave no chance for F.Koch to react. Unfortunately for the Tocas, a snake bitten offense saw them come out empty handed on Monday night.

Armadillos score late to collect a pair of wins over Communists
K.Koutsogiannopoulos scored a very late goal and the Armadillos pulled out two clean wins over the Communists. After a very slow start dropping the opening contest 5-1, the Communists adjusted in their second match making every minute count for the Armadillos. Unfortunately, the end result was the same unable to collect any points. D.Provost continues to be a force as he notched all three goals in the loss. As for the Armadillos, J.Bolanakis was the only player to score twice in the same match while P.Legatos chipped in once in both games.

LG HC score a pair of easy wins over Yellow T-Shirts
The Yellow Shirts may have held tough trying to slow down the LG HC, but in the end, good teams will always find a way. The opening contest was only a period old when D.Bertrand scored twice for a 3-0 lead. By applying a few nice plays while getting expected goaltending-from F.Baratta, the LG HC just went about their business banking an easy win. Most of the second game was pretty much the same as the first one. The only difference was that both sides scored a little more. G.Pisanelli strung two quick goals in only a minute to get the ball rolling. Till that point, the Yellow T-Shirts continued to battle hard but kept falling deeper when A.Stamiris riffled two consecutive markers. E.Girouard went on to match his teammates by also bagging a pair.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Frederic Peloquin of the Chic Choc. The net minder was outstanding on Monday night, collecting a shutout while frustrating the Tocas to only one goal on 29 shots in both games.
