Punishers flat out overwhelm Fatal Demons

Plain and simple, the Punishers were too much for the Fatal Demons to handle on Monday night. And it came-from a lot of different places starting with their net minder N.Mackeen, who never once saw the ball cross the line behind him. Leading the charge up front was A.Laramee as the forward struck three times for a hat trick en route to an easy 5-0 win. Much of the second game saw the same effect with the Punishers out playing the Fatal Demons. The only difference was that nobody stood out with six different players taking turns finding the back of the net. All in all,a night to forget for P.Santullo and the rest of his troops.

Venom contiue to strive on a pair of convincing wins

At no point were the Dragons able to turn the table versus Venom. From-as early as the opening faceoff, both games were decided without much of a resistance. Clearly it was one of Venoms better efforts of the season, especially in the first game where seven different players scored for a convincing 7-1 win. The Dragons did find themselves in a familiar territory after dropping the opening contest. Prior to tonight's game, their last two encounters reflected what had just happened to them by starting very slow while able to bounce back and salvage the night. Unfortunately, they couldn't continue the pattern as Venom was simply to strong on this particular night. J.Courteau, J.Vinet and M.D'Alpe each scored twice while M.Trivisonno allowed all but one goal in two games.

Excalibur use one good period to win close battle with 50 in 07

The 50 in 07 faired pretty well overall expect for one single period where they didn't match up with the Excalibur. That frame occurred in the second half of the first encounter. After trading a first period goal, the Excalibur dictated much of the play resulting in three unanswered tallies. F.Bchara was able to snap the tie courtesy of a power play goal and A.Fonrose along with S.St-Louis added insurance markers to solidify a 4-1 win. Despite the difficult ending, the 50 in 07 didn't let it faze them heading into the ensuing match. And even though they couldn't capture the win, they did manage a stalemate with their opponent. Neither side was able to get it done in regulation time and in the shootout where both net minders shined. G.Katravas never gave an inch to the three Excalibur shooters as did S.Sauk to the 50 in 07 attempts.

Evenly matched Golden Boys and Degenerates play it out till the end

It was safe to say that neither side knew what to expect when it was said and done. Both teams never played one another which could have only suggested for an unpredictable result or results. But after deciding the first game in a shootout, it was than clear that the second game was going to be just as close. The only slight difference played out in the shootout of the first encounter with F.Gentile confirming the win for the Degenerates. And while Gentile was definitely the catalyst for the Degenerates, the Golden Boys also have a deadly weapon or two to their line up. K.Lisio showed again what a constant threat he is by striking three times as part of a five point performance. To his help, S.Rigas was very productive accumulating five points while J.Durocher chipped in with a pair.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Fil Gentile of the Degenerates. After collecting a hat trick in the first encounter versus the Golden Boys, F.Gentile brought it a step further by notching the lone shootout marker.
