GK Unload with 6 goals before mid way point of game

The Slayers must have discussed how they wanted to play and shine against a team that is a perfect measuring stick. Instead, they were outplayed and outmatched throughout most of the night. Clearly, they didn’t respond well  , and in consequence were stuck digging themselves in every deep hole. The GK had scored six times before the mid way point of the game while not conceding a goal. Eventually, the Slayers would click and get on board thanks to M.Dettorre’s back to back tallies. Although the victory wasn’t relied on anyone in particular, Y.Labonte did stand out the most for the GK by riding a hat trick. As bad as the loss was for the Slayers, P.Kotsornithis will need to put this one aside quickly and focus only on how to be better for the upcoming game.

Black Knights start strong and don’t look back vs Punishers

The Black Knights came out of the starting gate firing and roared past the Punishers with a pair of strong periods. They out scored them 4-0 and didn’t allow their first tally until the late stages of the second period. Once the Black Knights built a 2-0 lead with the kind of strong defense that they were dealing out on Tuesday night, it was going to be awfully difficult to beat them. The Punishers knew this but still pushed the pace to get themselves on board. B.Daniele had a multi goal performance and J-F DiIorio was credited the winner . This is the second time the Punishers had to endure a difficult and slow start to their night. J.Fidrilis will make it a point to get his troops ready in his next game but it wont get any easier as they have the GK in front of them.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Guillaume Vermette of the Black knights. Throughout nearly two full periods, Vermette stood his ground in net enabling the Black Knights to play in front and never look back.
