Bramabulls at a lose to blowing a 4-1 lead

G.Vouloumanos and the Brewers put together a dramatic comeback versus the Bramabulls on Friday night. It was just a humiliating night for the Bramabulls, who once led 4-1 after the first period of play. Maybe they got a little carried away from their game plan or simply lost their composure. Or maybe the Brewers decided to wake up and take matters into their own hands. Regardless the reasons, the Brewers had a remarkable run bagging seven of their eight goals in the second half of the game. During that span, G.Vouloumanos was a wrecking machine posting four markers while his captain A.Lanni chipped in with a pair. P.Kallianiotis, a defenseman known more for his defensive attributes had plenty to offer by setting up five tallies.

Pylons fall flat in third period

Its going to be a long road for the Pylons unless they find a way to grind out those tough games against difficult opponents. The Pylons came from behind to overcome a 3-0 deficit but ultimately fell to the Templars by the third period. It was clear that the Pylons didn’t put up a 45 minute effort, and in doing so, they paid the price. And it isn’t to suggest that they would have prevailed , but they should at the very least kept it closer. The Templars will also look back at some of their own woes as the game went on. However, like good teams tend to, they’ll find ways to win hockey games. There best moments came at the right time where they sparked four consecutive goals in only four minutes. Three of those tallies belonged to C.Palermo, who single handily caused fits for the Pylons defense. Prior to Palermo’s third period madness, A.Bonvino propelled a good start for the Templars by riffling two markers and an assist.

National, HBHA Seniors leave little room in tight checking battle

As perhaps expected, neither team had much room out there. Both sides knew it was going to be close for how badly they wanted to prove to one another who is the better of the two sides. With the first goal so important, M.Argiris was able to celebrate it when the HBHA Seniors were awarded a power play. They then made it 2-0 by the four minute mark of the third period courtesy of G.Vouloumanos. Its usually unlikely that any team will shut out an offense force like National. In tonight’s case, E.Parent and the HBHA Seniors were only 34 seconds away from achieving it. And while he was a big reason why his club prevailed, Parent will gladly take this win despite allowing the late marker.

Slow lift off hurts Chiefs

Plenty of work remains for the Chiefs as they try to claw into a playoff picture. If they continue to start their games like in tonight’s case, they might as well watch from the side lines. The Devil Dawgz came ready to play and it showed by the time the first period ended running up the score to 4-1.Yes, the Chiefs were much better from that point on and actually pulled themselves within one when D.Bellitto found enough space to beat M.Trivisonno. But sometimes momentum can be a funny thing, and just when the Chiefs thought they had some, D.DaSilva was able to cut it. D.DaSilva made an immediate impact in his first game for the Devil Dawgz by netting a hat trick.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Chris Palermo of the Templars. His three goals came at a key time during the contest. In only four minutes, C.Palermo was masterful ultimately deciding the game for the Templars.
