Strong starts lift Assadi Consulting Inc past Knights
It was an all around effort as the Assadi Consulting Inc downed the Knights 5-3 and 5-2. J.Courteau led the way netting four goals and an assist while R.Fortin contributed with three goals and a helper as well. The defensive side of things was good enough for both victories with P.Assadi stopping 41 of 46 shots. The Knights did work a particular area of there game perfectly, and that was their power play. Four out of their five goals all came with the man advantage. Leading the way up front for the Knights was M.Bchuti, who struck three times and A.Desrosiers along with A.Fonrose as both players combined for seven points. Despite dropping both games, the Knights made the Assadi Consulting work hard for there victories. S.Sauk went down early due to an injury which forced the Knights to use one of there better players in M.Dupuis to dress up and take the goaltending position.

Final period dooms Family in loss to Brewers
Those good feelings the Family created in the first three of four periods vanished in the final push of the game where the Brewers surged with three big goals. Prior to that moment, the Family went the distance in the opening match only to lose the extra point in a shootout. Unfortunately for the Family, the wheels on the bus fell off in the final frame and the Brewers surged on three goals. E.Bouchard made it 3-0 before adding a late marker to clinch the victory. The Family did a good job keeping most of the two games close and will look to keep battling as they often do in the weeks to come. G.Platanitis had a solid outing for the Brewers in net allowing only a goal per game while denying three straight shootout attempts.

Two shorthanded goals help Buckshots top Fatal Demons
Already they are lethal on the power play and very dangerous at even strength, but now add the fact that the Buckshots can burn you with a man down. The Fatal Demons just came off a wild second period run to even the score in the first encounter only to see a terrible power play kill them in the ensuing match. Within only three minutes, E.Mavroudis and S.Athanasopoulos demoralized their opponent by burying a shorty. Granted, the game was 1-0 for the Buckshots before that moment but it still doesn’t excuse the fact that the Fatal Demons should have potentially evened the score rather than falling behind. S.Morante was able to quickly rebound after a difficult finish in the first game by responding with a 31 save shutout.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Jonathan Courteau of the Assadi Consulting In.
