Assadi Consulting Inc down Horsemen with late power play goal

Defenseman C.Desmarais responded for the Assadi Consulting Inc in the late stages of the second encounter, picking up a rebound that snapped a 3-3 tie and ultimately stuck for the winner. The Horsemen knew they had they had a tall order ahead of them after dropping the earlier contest. They fought back to even the score but needed a few better moments in order to split their night. Overall, the Assadi Consulting Inc dictated much of the pace and generated enough chances to break C.Stavriadis. J.Mandracchia set up four straight markers in the close 4-3 win, and Y.Gazura nodded a pair of tallies in the opening match en route to a 4-2 decision.

Knights and Family held to a pair of draws

By responding twice, the Family were able to go the distance with the Knights with neither side prevailing in the shootouts. Both teams felt they needed to shift gears before clashing for a second time. However, and perhaps as expected, much of the second game resembled the first one. The Family did have the slight edge carrying a 3-2 lead only to see it answered when G.Varrecchione riffled his second to even the score. Once again, familiar territory lurked for the two clubs as another shootout competition was left to determine a potential winner. And for a second time in as many games, it appeared that neither team was able to edge out the other. Even though both games resulted in a tie, the two teams would meet up again on this very  night with the opportunity to declare a winner.

Assadi Consulting Inc return favour to Fatal Demons to split night

With the first game being as close as it was, the second one was no different but with a different outcome. E.Chidak stopped 27 shots, and P.Paikopoulos bagged a power play winner to give the Fatal Demons the upper hand in a heated battle. The Assadi Consulting Inc knew they needed everyone in order to seize the narrative, set the pace and come out with a better result. They managed to break through a suffocating defense while applying the same method towards the Fatal Demons. This time however, the Assadi Consultuing Inc played with the lead on two occasions and managed to kill off a late power play thanks to their net minder P.Assadi. N.Gilbert collected two points that included the winner and Assadi made 21 stops to help collect 9 out of a possible 12 points of a double header night.

Family figure it out during break, Knights fall on short end of stick

Stuck having to grind out a pair of battles against a familiar opponent, the Family increased their sense of urgency  heading into this one. It was no where close to the level of the previous two encounters. The Family simply showed up while the Knights looked like they haven’t played in months. It always helps when your top guns come to play. M-A Daaha couldn’t be denied on three occasions while M.Sasso took care of the balance netting a pair. While the Knights certainly looked out of sorts after such a defeat, the second match saw them back to playing normal. They came out better prepared and found their scoring touch riding three first period goals. The only problem was that they had to attempt their fate once more in a shootout. Unfortunately, they couldn’t find a way to figure it out. M.Laroche was instrumental sparking two markers and a shootout marker for the Family while M-A Daaha had the last say giving his club the slight edge on the last shootout goal.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to M-A Daaha of the Family. The forward recorded seven points, two shootout goals and was arguably the main reason why the Family got the better of the Knights.
