Pendulum swing ends up going for Team Pink’s thrilling overtime win over Team Red

(5)Team Red vs Team Pink(6) O.T

On three straight occasions, Team Red was able to respond to tie the game before finally pulling ahead when M.Elara took advantage of a penalty shot followed with an insurance marker by M.Barone. Now that the score was 5-3 in favour for Team Red, the only thing left to do was to close out the deal. You almost had to figure it was headed that way for how resilient they were by bouncing back while pulling ahead. Unfortunately, that didn’t end being the case with Team Pink turning the tables on two quick goals -from J.Melo and a buzzer beater by Peter Stroubakis. Since momentum was swinging back and forth, overtime was going to be decided on who would get that one break. Neither side were able to get it done right away with the goaltenders keeping it that way. S.Catalano of Team Red and G.Platanitis of Team Pink were clearly the reasons why this contest dragged on due to their stellar jaw dropping saves. But eventually something was to give, and that’s when Peter Stroubakis picked up a rebound using his blistering shot to get the better of Catalano.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Peter Stroubakis of Team Pink. Hard work often pays off. The forward made his time count every time he got on, and was able to get rewarded by getting the final shot on net to decide the outcome.

Team Purple get final say on a stronger finish

(4)Team Black vs Team Purple(5) O.T

There was no doubt this was a real competitive and even game between Team Black and Team Purple that was only decided in the sudden death frame. That being said, Team Black may have thought they had all the momentum going for them. Down 3-1 , they took over the match on three straight tallies that included a penalty shot by A.Farina followed by M.Chenier and M.Danesi’s go ahead marker. There was just to much time left over for having the mind set of closing out the game. You almost knew you needed that next tally if you were Team Black in order to put a serious strangle hold in the match. Rather than going up by two, Team Purple responded instead courtesy of their veteran and leader C.Zafiropoulos. His tally came with only six minutes left in the game which eventually set the stage for an overtime period where he was able to play the role of a set up man by feeding M.Porato for the winner. Sometimes you don’t need to play a full out game in order to get the results. For a long stretch, Team Black were the ones in control and looked like were the ones headed for a favourable outcome. All you need is a play here and there in a one goal game that can go either way. Team Purple made a strong push when it counted, and were able to pull the rug-from under Team Black’s feet on a late surge. The father and son Zafiropoulos combo continue to impress as both players combined for seven points. B.Verducci contributed as well in the win making the necessary saves in a very close encounter. The win now puts team Purple only a point behind Team Black as they chase them down for that second spot.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Costa Zafiropoulos of Team Purple. He certainly is able to find ways to make plenty happen. In what was a back and forth close encounter, C.Zafiropoulos was the engine behind his teams offense collecting four points.

Team Brown come-from behind to stun Team Blue in overtime

(5)Team Blue vs Team Brown(6) O.T

Team Brown overcame a 4-0 deficit to land a dramatic 6-5 overtime victory Tuesday night over Team Blue. Things looked grim for a good chunk of the game for Team Brown, who kept falling in a deeper hole. As bad as it was, they needed only that one tally perhaps to change their luck. S.Sicuso was finally able to provide it  which clearly put his side on track for something remarkable to happen. It was evident that Team Brown found their extra gear as they relentlessly hammered their opponent in a short ten minute stretch. Although E.Nardelli ended the spell by putting Team Blue back in front 5-4, that didn’t stop S.Sicuso again-from responding on a big play to even the score. Both sides didn’t let go of the gas pedal for the remaining twelve minutes which for a third straight time during the night an overtime was looming to see who would come out on top. Unlike the two previous encounters, D.Galloro spared everyone’s time by ending it right away on a brilliant one timer giving M.Freda no time what so ever. That was the snipers second goal and third point of the game. S.Sicuso had a productive game as well collecting four points while N.Faria was Team Blue’s most dynamic player scoring twice along with an assist.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Danny Galloro of Team Brown. Gamers often find ways for the big moments. Its no surprise that D.Galloro was a good pick to ending it on a beautiful shot that came out of nowhere.

Team White maintain their status as the top dogs of the division

(2)Team Yellow vs Team White(7)

Its been just that kind of a season so far for a team that’s running on all cylinders. Only two losses to show for, Team White came to play again on Tuesday night defeating Team Yellow rather easily. The score was already 4-0 before S.Boulerice finally got Team Yellow on board. For sure it would have taken a miraculous comeback, but it wouldn’t be the first time a team overcomes such a deficit. The problem was that Team White wasn’t on planning to give much life after that with the two sides trading a goal before Team White drove away into the sunset. J.Lapenna and N.Boctor Awad shared two goals each, R.Tanous collected four points and G.Villenueve was sharp in net stopping all but two goals. Team Yellow’s limited offense came-from C.Doulis, who participated in both tallies, and S.Boulerice that notched the other goal.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to number R.Tanous. His three primary assists along with a goal provided a good portion of Team Whites offense in the convincing win.

High octane offense powers Team Orange past Team Green

(11)Team Orange vs Team Green(9)

While it may have been exciting for the players, the same couldn’t be said of the goaltenders. Both sides had only one assignment, and that was to try and score goals. This contest was hard to gauge for where it was headed due to the back and forth action that never really slowed down. At one point, Team Yellow found themselves up 11-9 with only six minutes left in the game. The memo was only sent by then for them to tighten up and close out the game. M.Tzouvadakis knew he needed to have a strong sequence in net since Team Green was going to put some pressure. To his credit, the net minder delivered after facing a wave of shots coming-from everywhere. Its something that P.Santullo will certainly address in the dressing room after the game .Team Green may not like where they are in the standings, but know that they are a way better team than what there record shows. They have the weapons up front that can score at will no matter the opponent. For them, it really comes down to playing a stronger defensive game. If they figure that part out, things can turn around. However, they haven’t shown it yet this season which may come as a concern if they don’t fix it. As for Team Orange, they also have the same issues. Scoring goals wont be a problem which leaves them that task of tightening up the screws.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to R.Marshall of Team Orange. The forward was buzzing throughout the entire game causing plenty of fits for his oppositions defence. By the time it was said and done, RYAN capped off a nice hat trick with goals coming at key moments.
