Dirty Scrubs bad start dooms them early

Before the ball even dropped, the Dirty Scrubs knew that they were in for a long night. The problem was that there night lasted only two periods. The Generals 13 goals in the first two frames put an immediate stop to the match because of the mercy rule. You almost have no chance rotating only two changes when going up against a power house. At best, you can try and keep it close for a decent amount of time, but that wasn’t the case in this particular game. The contest was already over by the seven minute mark with the Generals bagging four straight goals. O.Valiquette ended the frame with two tallies before adding his third early in the second period. Every player had his hand in this one with the amount of goals scored. J-R Turgeon was also able to bury three while V.Lamarche and M.Pinheiro each scored twice. For the Generals, winning is a habit. They ran through this entire contest piling up a bunch of tallies while not conceding one at all.

United Masters dictate the pace against Sonic

They had some moments, but Sonic seemed to be a step behind at times against the United Masters. The pace was mostly dictated by one side and it showed with the United Masters winning every period. Some goals left B.Madonis with no chance to stop them. The net minder was well positioned, but couldn’t predict three shots going top corner while being screened. Those kinds of plays only fuels you to do better as the game goes on. They become contagious throughout your line up which only makes matters worse for the opposition. Sonic felt it, and needed to battle extremely hard in order to keep pace with the United Masters. Unfortunately, they just couldn’t make any ground having to try and battle through a committed side that was waiting and ready. The game would open up since Sonic didn’t have a choice to search for that next goal. While they attempted to go deep into the United Masters zone, some counter attacks would eventually create more of a gap. A.Minassian was the only player to score twice out of the eight goals which suggested that this win came on the backs of everyone pulling their weight.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Anto Minassian of the United Masters. Very engaged throughout the entire time, the lethal winger was productive opening and closing the scoring as part of a four point performance.
