You had to assume that the Assadi Consulting inc were starting to find their stride after a memorable comeback only a week ago. In trying to build off it a week later, this contest versus the Altius turned out to be a complete miss match. P.Arkalis used a fast start posting two goals right before the five minute mark, and later completed his hat trick sharing three goals each with D.Provost-Jarry. Even when a game goes bad like in the case for the Assadi Consulting inc, there are usually some positive moments that can be looked at. However, not in tonight’s contest as the letdown of the entire group was apparent in their lack of will to battle back. Its nights like this that you need a short memory and think of only what’s ahead. The Assadi Consulting inc cannot afford to keep falling behind in a hockey game, especially in this type of competition. On the other hand, the Altius must be feeling pretty good about their overall play. They look like a side that’s ready to de throne the recent winners for how well rounded they are this season. Teams have quickly realised that they are the real deal, and will need to put out their best game in order to challenge with them.

Armadillos cant hold a lead as Punishers strike in third period

Playing against a Punishers team this talented doesn’t leave much room for margin of error. J.Velenosi had the games lone goal for two periods, and C.Stavriadis was exceptional in net giving the Armadillos the edge they needed. While playing well and ahead for two straight periods is always a good trend to follow, its sometimes still not enough to reach your goal. The Armadillos gave up an early third period marker before falling behind for the first time during the game when M.Mavroudis snapped a 1-1 tie with just over five minutes remaining. By then , the script flipped and the Punishers would add insurance by M.Gikas which ended up being the winner since P.Musto responded only seconds later. Even though the Armadillos pulled within one, time wasn’t a luxury they had. The Armadillos are struggling to find wins after four games into their season, but with a slight -7 goals differential, it just goes to show that they are in every game that could have easily gone their way. J.Kontitsis won’t be too concerned knowing what his club is capable of. When all his players are present, their regular season record wont matter at all.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Billy Makris of the Punishers. In a tightly knitted contest, your goaltending is expected to play a major role. The Punishers had to overcome a slight 1-0 deficit after two periods thanks to B.Makris keeping it that way.
