Impressive duo have yet to take a night off
Its abundantly clear that C.Gingras and P.Karvouriaris will dissect any defense on any given night. At no point did the dynamic duo take a night off. And its not like the rest of the team are not anchored by some good talent as well. The problem is that they are just uncontainable . The Assadi Consulting inc put of a decent fight in the first game, but couldn’t get enough scoring done in order to give themselves a chance. Scoring only once against the Classics is a guaranteed loss. They did well on their defensive end, but it just wont cut. P.Karvouriaris collected another hat trick with the help of his most reliable line mate C.Gingras, who fed him on every instance while netting one himself. Since the game ended somewhat close, the Assadi Consulting inc had another shot at trying to hand the Classics a rare loss. Sadly, it went-from bad to worse, giving up three quick goals less than four minutes in. Falling behind that deep, and that early against the Classics makes most teams want to throw in the towel. Even in their attempt of trying to battle back, things only kept falling apart for the Assadi Consulting inc. P.Karvouriaris and C.Gingras had scored twice each in that opening frame before P.Karvouriaris capped off the night posting another hat trick. The two players combined for a ridiculous 16 points.

A.Franceschini powers ETNA to second straight win over RCGT Knights
ETNA had a strong first period rattling off three goals, M.Stoico stopped 22 shots to record another shutout, and the RCGT Knights fell victims to superior team on Tuesday night. The game only stayed close because T.Sauk kept it that way. The goaltender was fierce, focused and ready to take on a difficult task ahead of him. Unfortunately some lack of offense stifled the RCGT Knights to get much going offensively. With the first game out of the way, ETNA made sure to complete their mission by stringing two wins together. As it often happens, their usual suspects take charge whether its M.Calabrice or M.Alfieri. However, that wasn’t the case in the early stages of the second match. A.Franceschini played with a purpose knowing that he also belongs in the conversation with his lethal line mates. The spark plug was buzzing-from the get go netting his clubs first two goals before completing his hat trick early in the second period. Content with his overall play, A.Franceschini made sure to leave a piece of the pie for M.Alfieri, who also struck three times. The RCGT Knights looked a step behind which forced them to chase the game and leave T.Sauk extremely busy between the pipes. To his credit however, the young goaltender had plenty of good looks despite what the score indicates.

Brodie Boys amp up their game in second encounter to split with Dragons
The Dragons had to suspect what was coming, but they were powerless to stop it. They reached step one in completing their mission by handing the Brodie Boys a 5-4 loss. While the score suggests for a close game, the Brodie Boys tallied twice extremely late to pull within one. The greater challenge stood in the second game for the Dragons, who knew they wouldn’t have the legs to keep up with a younger and deeper squad. The Brodie Boys had sent a message when T.Ferreira posted his clubs two late goals as an indicator of what’s to come. There was no doubt they came out hard in the second match as the Dragons looked like the ones under siege. M.Moshopoulos assisted M.Koutavas’s first goal before bagging a big power play marker. You sensed that the tides had turned almost immediately, and that the Brodie Boys weren’t going to let this one get by them. Going up 3-1 after one period isn’t a huge gap, but the Brodie Boys made sure to widen it as they hammered the Dragons with four more tallies. Six different players chipped in the goals department with M.Koutavas collecting the extra marker. The often used expression speed kills applied again in tonight’s case with the Brodie Boys using plenty of it to split their night with the Dragons.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Peter Karvouriaris of the Classics. Scoring a hat trick is a feat in itself, but to so it back to back against a strong defense says a lot. The sniper keeps scoring at will no matter who seems to be in front of him.
