Abysmal start sabotages Team White comeback attempt

(7)Team Blue vs Team White(4)

Team White looked miserably flat footed-from the start and wasted no time falling behind 3-0 by the twelve minute mark. Four different players scored for Team Blue before E.Nardelli showed his form posting two more tallies to complete his hat trick. A.DeSua supported his teammates by setting up three markers while netting his clubs second goal of the game. Team White eventually started to show some life when J.Melo and M.Dagenais tallied only a few minutes apart. That sequence pulled their club within a pair with still plenty of time left over. It was clear that the next goal was going to perhaps indicate where this game was going. Unfortunately for Team White, they dug themselves deeper when E.Nardelli capped off his hat trick with only seven  minutes remaining. It just went to show that a strong start usually paces a team to hold up in the end. Team Blue showed more purpose-from the get go riding a 4-1 lead by the fifteen minute mark which ultimately made the difference in this particular match.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Emerson Nardelli of Team Blue. Nardelli was Team Blue’s most dangerous player notching three big goals to help lead his club past Team White.

Team Pink fall short, Team Purple win tightly contested game

(5)Team Pink vs Team Purple(8)

A team that’s been stumbling so far this season were able to go toe to toe with Team Purple on Sunday night. In the end however, the result was still a loss, but this time it could have gone their way if not for some small details. Team Pink competed very hard as it showed in their resilient game by battling back every time only to keep falling short. G.Missakian had tied the game 3-3 for Team Pink, who hoped nothing less than to try and jump front. Instead, M.Lang spoiled the party only three minutes later, and Team Purple fed off it right after when A.Zafiropoulos widened the gap by two. It just seemed every time Team Pink kept battling back , Team Purple would almost answer immediately. This was going on for a very good portion of the game until the final couple of minutes where Team Purple got goals by C.Zafiropoulos, who buried his third to end the madness. It may not have been the right result for Team Pink, but this game could have gone their way if not for a few bad bounces. P.Stroubakis provided a pair of tallies in the loss while M.Lang and A.Angelis contributed in a massive way for Team Purple combining for nine points.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to A.Angelis of Team Purple. The calm and collective d-man was a force-from his office creating a ton of offense that led to a nice five point night.

Team Red hanging around as along as they could but couldn’t keep up in the end

(11)Team Orange vs Team Red(5)

For close to thirty minutes, Team Red looked to be interested in this contest, barely trailing Team Orange in what looked like an up for grabs game. Then, they started to look more sloppy and a step behind as Team Orange throttled them on a strong finish. The implosion led to a bunch of goals in the last twenty minutes. M.Pietrantonio was one out of many making noise for Team Orange on a hat trick. P-A Laurin and M.Kardum chipped in with a pair, and B.Monette was really feeling it on this night collecting six points. Sometimes breakdowns will happen, especially when going up against a team that can create chances. Team Orange continued to use their skill which made Team Red’s breakdowns more apparent as the game continued to roll along. Even though they did an overall good job containing them, they couldn’t put it together long enough. S.Catalano did what he could in net to keep the game close, but couldn’t out duel P.Kassaris on this night, who collected the win between the pipes.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Benoit Monette of Team Orange. With plenty of offense generated by Team Orange, there is no question that B.Monette had his hand in it scoring once while setting up five goals.

Team Yellow late goals earn comeback win over Team Black

(6)Team Yellow vs Team Black(4)

Team Yellow struck twice in the final minutes with A.Minassian and G.Charron to complete a comeback-from two goals down and snatch a 6-4 win. Its frustrating  being in a situation where you feel that you deserve better. Team Black had plenty going for them as soon as the game began. A.Daghlian kicked started the night on two quick goals followed with C.Stamadianos making the score 3-1 by the twelve minute mark. There are a couple of approaches you can use when building a slight lead early enough. Either play more aggressive at the right time to build off it, or play more cautious by not enabling your opponent to bounce back. Its possible that Team Black used both tactics and perhaps just didn’t get enough bounces to extend their lead. Regardless the reasons, Team Yellow understood what was at hand which was to continue working while hoping it would pay off. And to their credit, the simple formula of hard work paid off in the end. Prior to the late goals, A.Zakarian had a strong influence for the final result as the power forward collected four points that included two tallies. In order to win these types of games your goaltender needs to be focused. B.Mourad bounced back after a shaky start making every safe count until the finish line.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Brian Mourad of Team Yellow. Despite the slow start for Team Yellow, B.Mourad kept the confidence for his club by making a string of keys saves that eventually led to a comeback victory.

Team Brown and Team Green push it to the limit with the goaltenders blinded by the light

(11)Team Green vs Team Brown(12) O.T

Both teams had at least scored a touch down and a field goal, and it still needed overtime to see who would win. And after a goal scoring clinic, what better than to decide it on a penalty shot. That’s when S.Sicuso slithered his way so calmly to use a tricky and precise wrist shot to decide matters. That was Sicuso’s third goal and fifth point of the contest. It was one of those games that a quick trip to the bathroom would have missed you two or three goals. Surely something that the goaltenders wished they were watching-from the stands enjoying popcorn instead. But sometimes these games happen when everything seems to be going in. The two sides have some quality talent which made this  very entertaining to watch. Team Green saw C.Arnoldo and M.Destounis combine for 13 points. As for Team Brown, you had to figure that T.Settino and D.Galloro would get at least five points each in which they did. While they weren’t the only ones to do damage, Georgie Papadakis was easily in that conversation as well as the crafty forward collected five points. It was one of those games that whoever would shoot last  likely decided it. In tonight’s case, Team Brown got their first thanks to their captain.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Georgie Papadakis of Team Brown. With plenty of back and forth action, G.Papadakis showed off her ability as an offensive juggernaut accumulating an impressive one goal and four assists.
