J.Rochon uses strong second period to rebound Assadi Consulting inc past Altius

The Assadi Consulting inc played in a battle of opposing philosophies on Wednesday , as they were able to recover-from a 0-2 deficit to defeat the Altius. The Altius made their presence shown-from the beginning of the game winning the opening frame on goals by A.Alfonso and B.Bentivegna. The Assadi Consulting inc wasn’t able to generate much offense in the opening stanza, but that eventually changed in the ensuing frame where they completely took over the match. J.Rochon led the charge setting up two teammates while scoring late in the period to put his side up 3-2. With that strong finish, it was now the Altius turn to play catch up. While they attempted on two occasions to pull themselves within one, the Altius couldn’t string that second goal in order to level. Maybe that’s because Pedram Assadi was determined not to enable it. The net minder understood he needed to be extremely sharp in order to pull this one off. And to his credit, he delivered in a big way to remind his team that no matter how difficult the season has been so far, that anything can happen.

You always look to get on board first when going up against a rival opponent. That opening goal enables you to get a better grip on the match, and the Punishers used it to their advantage playing a sound and cautious game. M.Koutavas provided it in the first period, and P.Karvouriaris doubled the Punishers lead early in the second period. For sure a 2-0 lead inspires your side to grow in confidence as the game continues to roll along. Your players all buy into helping each other out, and your goaltender feeds off it knowing that he is a big reason why his club is in front. For just over two full periods, C.Ekonomakis kept a clean sheet against a very lethal offense. Eventually, the Armadillos finally got to the net minder when Q.Syrydiuk beat him early in the third period. The Armadillos felt they needed just one in order to get their side going with plenty of time left over. It was just a question of who would get there first. The Punishers don’t like to lay back even if they are in front, and will look to seize the opportunity once it presents itself. Already with a pair of assists, A.Argiroudis came up big for the Punishers by the ten minute mark where he bagged a tally that ultimately held for the winner.
