Team Black win back and forth game against Team Blue

(6)Team Black vs Team Blue(4)

Though tempted throughout a back and fort affair on Sunday evening, Team Black refused to let their head to head with the high energy Team Blue slip out of their grasp. A win that featured almost everything you can ask for in a mid season game. Six different players took turns finding the back of the net, the defense tightened up in the second portion of the match, and just as importantly, A.Zardarian was there to stop many balls in order to preserve the win. This contest was going back in forth with the two sides trading goals and chances that gave no indication as to where it was headed. The turning point only occurred when M.Musi made the score 6-3 by the thirty-nine minute mark. While many players scored for Team Black, its safe to say that plenty of the offense stemmed-from Claude Kfoury, who set up four teammates while getting the games first tally.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Claude Kfoury of Team Black. Nearly every goal came-from the touch of the ball by the skilled forward capping off a very productive five point night.

Team Purple thrive with balanced attack

(5)Team Green vs Team Purple(8)

You can either rely on your main guns or every single player to be involved in order to have success. Both scenarios do work ,but Team purple may have proven that balance was perhaps the determining factor in this particular game. Team Purple got contributions throughout their line up with scoring efforts-from seven different players while Team Green relied on S.Tomasetta and C.Arnoldo to do all of the scoring. Good balance equates to good chemistry, and Team Purple showed that they can play well as a group. At one point, they led 6-2 before enduring a hic up that enabled Team Green to bounce back on three consecutive markers in only three minutes. Out of nowhere, there was a game that was up for grabs. You almost knew that somebody would eventually score with plenty of time left over. Since that next tally was so important, both sides wanted nothing less than to get their first. Eventually, M.Lang provided it for Team Purple notching his second of the contest as the only player to strike twice out of the eight goals that went in. M.Chenier would then add an insurance marker, and Team Purple were relieved for avoiding a total meltdown.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Mike Lang of Team Purple. The power forward takes up a lot of space when he gets on making it very difficult for any defense to contain. Team Purple, although relied on everyone, did get that extra gear-from M.Lang.

Team Pink end losing streak with authority

(8)Team Pink vs Team Brown(3)

Four games worth of frustration were taken out on Team Brown Sunday night as Team Pink ended their four game losing streak with authority in a convincing fashion. Team Pink erased any doubt that this would be their night when T.Scarpelli took over the show riffling a hat trick by only the twenty seven minute mark. The forward was on fire and never let up adding an assist and a fourth tally by the time it was over. While getting a strong production by one player is an important part of the equation, there are other factors that need to happen if you plan on winning games. No one can deny that goaltending always comes into play. Team Pink were glad to see G.Kanaras outstanding between the pipes allowing only three goals-from a team that usually have no issues scoring. Team Brown faced a wall, and never quite figured out how to solve Kanaras unless it was a high end quality chance.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to George Kanaras of Team Pink. After going 0-4 this season, Kanaras delivered a stellar goaltending performance that helped his team get in the win column.

Team Yellow spanked by Team Orange, P.Kassaris a minute shy of recording a shutout

(8)Team Orange vs Team Yellow(1)

Defensive lapses led to turnovers, and Team Orange made sure to not waste their chances. Only five minutes in, and this game showed its identity with only one club determined to play. Team Orange scored three times in a short span which put themselves in a comfortable position to dictate the pace to their liking. When a team falls behind the way Team Yellow did, you almost have no choice but to open up in order to create goals. The problem is that if you don’t convert , a strong opponent will make you pay . That looked to be the case with Team Orange finishing off their chances as they slowly ran up the score. M.Pietrantonio strung two quick goals to capture a hat trick, and J.Wong followed up posting his second for an 8-0 lead. Sometimes a bad night will happen to any team. And since things weren’t going their way, Team Yellow looked for something that they could find to at least spoil the fun for Team Orange. With the game winding down, that moment did occur when P.Paikopoulos took away P.Kassaris’s shutout with only one minute left on the clock.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Paul Kassaris of Team Orange. Getting a shutout or allowing only one goal in this division is quite remarkable. P.Kassaris may have wanted a clean score sheet, but the net minder was just as happy knowing that he played a strong game in net allowing only a late tally.

S.Fraga first period hat trick propels Team White past Team Red

(3)Team Red vs Team White(8)

Team White stormed out of the gate strong scoring six times in the first seventeen minutes alone before things finally started to slow down. Unable to stop the bleeding, Team Red were under siege in what was a very discouraging start to the game. Its very difficult trying to overcome a huge deficit when things just kept getting worse. To their credit, they did stick with it even though they knew that this was a lost cause. They managed to get on board rattling off three consecutive goals in only seven minutes .M.Barone and A.Gold were the only two players to collect points with Barone leading the way on two markers and an assist. As for a good overall sequence, that was about it for Team Red, who never really recovered after a disastrous start. The game was about ten minutes old when S.Fraga overwhelmed Team Red on three goals. While he wasn’t the only one to dissect Team Reds defense, N.Macri and C.Arnoldo did damage as well netting two goals each.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Simon Fraga of Team White. His hat trick in the first ten minutes alone proved to be to much for Team Red to overcome.
