Strong transition game leads the United Masters past the Brewers
The United Masters knew that a win versus the Brewers would proper them into 2nd place and a better playoff match-up as they seemed to be the better prepared side. The United Masters generated much of their offence with the help of their transition game, as well as excelling in all three zones tonight, by controlling the ball, limiting the high danger chances in the slot and clearing any rebounds for S.Pistone. The Brewers had no answer for the duo of G. Djevahirdjian and D.Charbonneau, who took care of the offence, notching a hat trick each in the rout. The United Masters finished the season on a positive note with their strong effort and solid overall play and will be a handful come playoff time. The Brewers were missing a few key players on this night which would’ve surely helped them, but they’ll need to quickly forget this one and tighten things up defensively for the formidable opponent they’ll face in the playoffs.

Shorthanded Warriors fall short of playoff quest with loss to Chiefs
It’s never a good idea to have no changes on the bench and especially when your season is on the line and you’re facing a veteran team like the Chiefs. This game was crucial and detrimental for the Warriors as they headed into this contest needing a regulation win to secure a spot in the playoffs. The teams traded scoring chances for the first 2 periods and the game was still within reach for the Warriors, as they were only down by 2, with C.Araujo making some key saves. The third period was a different story as the Chiefs used their strong transition game and capitalized on a very tired bunch, who simply ran out of energy and couldn’t muster anything offensively. D.Galloro & J.Choudhry took care of the offense combining for 9 points and P.DelliColli was solid between the pipes earning a shutout in the process. The Chiefs finished strong and will look to carry this momentum heading into the playoffs and continue their solid play. Credit the Warriors for putting up a valiant effort, but captain J.Melo will have to reset and make the necessary adjustments and gear up for the new season.

SalumiVino Player of the week: G. Djevahirdjian, the crafty veteran was a thorn in the Brewers side all night, causing havoc and creating chances all while notching a hat trick in the process.
