(9)Icons vs Shockers (5)
E.Girouard hits target four times for Icons
E.Girouard almost single-handedly carried the Icons on Sunday night. The sniper went on an absolute tear racking up four goals and an assist on J.Velenosi's goal to get the scoring started. The Shockers held their own for a while but were completely invisible by the second period. They gave up four goals during that span and were never able to recover. T.Salberg kept it close posting three straight tallies for the Shockers before things spiralled into one direction.
(2)Fatal Demons vs Slayers (10)
Dominant Slayers keep the pedal to the medal versus Fatal Demons
After scoring twice late in the first period, the Slayers added two quick goals in the second period, and the Fatal Demons knew that their chances were slim. The problem was that the Slayers weren't done yet finishing the frame strong with four total goals to carry a substantial 6-1 lead heading into the final stretch. Even with a solid line up consisting of many good players, two in particular did most of the scoring. J.Desmarais opened and closed the madness collecting four goals while C.Chirola was just behind him earning a hat trick.
(7)Lynx vs Butchers (4)
Lynx captain J.Lang has a nose for the net, sparks 3 in a row
There was no shortage of quality scoring chances for the Lynx, and with that, seven goals went in. It's always nice when the leader of your team takes charge. In tonight's case, J.Lang made his boys proud as he has many times before leading an offensive attack in a very short span. If you don't count his two assists for good measure, Lang shifted the game in six minutes alone where he struck three consecutive times. The contest was deadlocked 2-2 before the barrage of goals began. Till that point, the Butchers were playing decent but quickly found themselves chasing the game unable to bounce back.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Jeremy Lang of the Lynx. There was no question that the Lynx captain had a major impact in the win versus the Butchers. The sniper struck three straight times in only six minutes while setting up two teammates.
