M.Trivisonno shines with back to back shutouts

M.Trivisonno delivered a brilliant goaltending performance, and A.Zarzour wasn't going to let the latest masterpiece go for naught. Zarzour scored with under a minute left, Trivisonno stopped all 15 shots his way, and the Yellow T-Shirts earned a hard fought win to jump start their night. But that was just the first part of the story for the Yellow T-Shirts, who managed to duplicate their efforts in the ensuing match. M.Trivissono's excellence remained in display as the net minder was on a mission to steal the show. And after facing another 13 shots, the mission was accomplished. To his help, N.Gilbert helped set up three different teammates that included the winner-from J.Vinet. The Yellow T-Shirts, despite winning both games didn't have an easy night at all. F.Peolquin was also stellar in net for the Chic Choc making plenty of high quality saves. Most of the goals that beat him came in close giving him almost no chance to stop the ball.

Immigrant roll over Tocas with ease

The word embarrassing can be one way to look at it for the Tocas, but Les Immigrant might have a different take on what transpired on Monday night.  By applying a gutsy nonstop effort, Les Immigrant expected nothing less for the two results that they achieved. Both games were barely close with the Tocas scoring only three times. Les Immigrant are starting to show they are headed in the right direction. After all, they managed to score five goals in both games while getting exceptional goaltending-from R.Ricaurte. A.Addante led the way once more collecting a total of three goals. And although he didn't score, M.Haber made an immediate impact by setting up four markers.

Les Yables almost perfect except of 5 seconds

Following up on the momentum generated by their 4-1 win, Les Yables looked to close out two clean victories up until a late tally decided otherwise. The Communists scored with only 5 seconds left in the second game to even the score and eventually take it in the shootout. The opening contest was extremely close as three late goals ultimately put Les Yables in the driver's seat. D.Marcotte was the catalyst behind the win striking twice while setting up F.Lacasse. Similar to the previous contest, the next encounter was tight knitted throughout the entire time. P.Corbin bagged both goals for Les Yables that saw his second come with less than 30 seconds remaining in the game. Normally that would be enough for a team like Les Yables to close out the clock but it just wasn't the case thanks to S-A.Longo's very late marker. That tally forced a shootout where the Communists prevailed with goals -from V.Picard and J.Argyropoulos. Out of their three attempts, L.Verdun was the only player to solve M.Melo, who was stellar to help collect a pair of points for the Communists.

P.Lapointe and K.Koutsogiannopoulos have Armadillos flying high

On a night when you just don't know who will elevate their game, P.Lapointe and K.Koutsogiannopoulos were spectacular for the Armadillos. Both players splashed some magic on Monday night with P.Lapointe leading the way in the first encounter on three goals. Then, K.Koutsogiannopous proved to his teammate that he also can spark offense despite playing as a defenseman. Having that kind of a slap shot is a deadly weapon and K.Koutsogiannopoulos wasn't afraid to use it resulting in four tallies. Overall, it just wasn't a good night for the Punishers. There only positive came in the first period of the opening game where they led 2-1. Apart-from that, there wasn't much to show for as the Armadillos took over with authority. C.Stavriadis was his usual self denying decent scoring chances allowing only a total of three goals in two games.

S.Robineault rebounds Dragons to split with LG HC

In regards to the opening game, the Dragons weren't at their best. But this game was more about how well the LG HC played than how poorly the Dragons performed. It came to be expected that players such as G.Pisanelli, E.Girouard and S.Govas will find a way to ink their name onto the score sheet. All three players each scored twice en route to a convincing 7-3 win. After taking notes on what just happened coupled with the fact that the Dragons weren't too pleased, P.Assadi and his troops were able to shrug off the dismal loss. The Dragons adjusted a few things here and there to better themselves in the ensuing match. They kept it closer and worked hard knowing that they have a deeper bench. Adding to all that, S.Robineault was absolutely on fire. The veteran forward not only riffled a hat trick but potted his winner with only 19 seconds left on the clock. Tonight's contest had a memorable moment between E.Girouard of LG HC and S.Robineault of the Dragons. Throughout their entire ball hockey careers, both players have been line mates for many years and for many teams combining for at least 50 championships together and a ton of scoring titles. Tonight's game featured the first time that both players played one another. Incredibly enough, they have yet to slow down and seem to be just as good now as they were in their prime. Both players combined for six goals and a pair of assists and continue to be a prevalent piece to the puzzle.
