(2)Lynx vs Shockers (5)
Shockers get hat trick-from T.Salberg, two goals-from M.Blackman in 5-2 rout of Lynx
The Shockers showed off their quality goaltending-from D.Bourque and forward depth in a 5-2 win over the Lynx. After surrendering the first goal, T.Salberg opened the flood gates with the games next three markers. The Lynx knew that unless they played with the lead that this contest was going to be a difficult challenge. Too many players were absent in the loss that saw only R.Beaver take charge with both goals for the Lynx. Apart-from T.Salberg making the most noise for the Shockers, the captain was also heavily involved. M.Blackman took over riffling his clubs last two tallies as part of a three point night.
(4)Butchers vs Fatal Demons (9)
Butchers can't recover-from flurry of mistakes
With still a chance at earning for a playoff spot, the Butchers couldn't have asked for a better start. Two minutes had barely gone by when S.Fabrici and A.DeSua took charge on a pair of quick goals. That sequence appeared to be a perfect trend for the Butchers up until time would eventually suggest otherwise. The Fatal Demons took a step back, regrouped and started to put their act together. M.Destounis's late first period marker was perhaps the goal that his team needed to spark some energy. Once the second period hit, the momentum stuck to only one team. The Fatal Demons trounced the Butchers striking four times before adding three more by the third to solidify the win and a playoff spot. A.Jalilvand led the way bagging a hat trick while A.Zarzour and M.Destounis followed up netting a pair each.
(6)Slayers vs Icons (1)
Slayers make a statement in defeating rival Icons
Even though it's only a regular season game, the Slayers sent the Icons a reminder that they may be that team to beat. However, as much as the score indicates a lopsided affair, this contest wasn't as convincing as it seems. The Slayers were clearly the better team in the first ten minutes running up the score to 3-0. Then, as time went by, the Icons started to push the pace a little more only to run into a hot net minder. C.Confuorti was sharp throughout the entire match never once giving any sort of hope or life to the Icons. This was just a case of a bad start and being snake bitten offensively for the Icons. The Slayers did what they needed to do in every aspect of the game. Two out of their six goals came on the power play, and all six of their tallies were courtesy of six different goal scorers.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Troy Salberg of the Shockers. His teammates are not at all surprised what T.Salberg is capable of. After finding themselves down 1-0, the natural sniper took matters into his own hands riffling the games next three goals.
