(8)Bramabulls vs Fat Cats(9) Game 1

Bramabulls lose edge after perfect season

So much for a perfect regular season.Although losing the first game isn't the end of the world, the Bramabulls are stuck waiting an entire week to address how poor defensively they played on Wednesday night. Giving up nine goals in playoff hockey is a bad recipe for winning. The Fat Cats weren't any better but good enough to sneak out what was a wild affair. G.DeMarinis, F.Gentile, A.Henein and Joe Scalia did much of the scoring as all four players chipped in with a pair each. On the flip side of the court, D.Verta was clearly the Bramabulls best player notching half of his teams goals. This is a type of result that both sides can't be too pleased on how the game went. In order to win playoff hockey, many areas will need to be cleaned up heading into game two and possibly game three. For now, the Fat Cats will take it and hope to cause a major upset in one week's time.

(4)Left Wings vs UD Redz(5) S.O Game 1

R.Abdulahad scores late for UD Redz, F.Nasser stamps game 1 with shootout winner

Just when it looked like the Left Wings were on their way to victory, R.Abdulahad delivered some heroics by tying it up late. The UD Redz were than able to celebrate game one on a couple of key factors. First off, F.Nasser scored the lone shootout marker while Y.Beaulieu being the second reason by denying three shootout attempts. The Left Wings thought they had it wrapped up when S-A Longo provided the go ahead marker with less than two minutes remaining. That goal was met with an immediate response only 20 seconds later. Even though the Left Wings find themselves in a tough spot, this series is long-from being over. N.Sotiropoulos saw firsthand how resilient the UD Redz are, and will have no choice but to keep his club focused for an entire game or two.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Ali Sayed of the UD Redz. He's done this many times before. The UD Redz sniper potted a pair helping his team take game one versus the Left Wings.

(5)Mighty Drunks vs Horsemen (6) S.O Game 1

Horsemen magic ride tops Mighty Drunks in shootout

For a team that was down and out, the Horsemen are looking more like a serious contender as the post season evolves. Tonight's 6-5 shootout win over the division leaders puts them only one win away-from reaching the big dance. After collecting four points during the match, T.Karasek sealed it as the only player to score in the shootouts. The Mighty Drunks failed in that area unable to solve M.Vinciguerra. Although he didn't score, D.Greco was responsible for making four goals happen in which his captain V.Pandza benefited twice. Confidence can be a powerful tool when it comes to important games, and the Horsemen undoubtedly have plenty of it heading into game number two.

(3)Carnage vs Fat Roy(5) Game 1

N.Gikas keeps scoring the big goals

Forward N.Gikas has proven himself all season, scoring regularly as the team tries to reach new heights. His two goals including the winner led Fat Roy over a difficult opponent. Fat Roy did a fine job executing while at times out working Carnage. They never once trailed which forced Carnage to play catch up. D.Xiarchos, rarely will find the back of the net but the veteran defenseman was able to strike twice in the loss. It wasn't their best performance but F.Pace and Carnage will have a week to figure out solutions. One detail will be to try and grab the lead. Although easier said than done, you don't want to be playing-from behind considering how well Fat Roy defends.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Thomas Karasek of the Horsemen. Karasek was the only player to score in the shootout after providing four points during the contest.
