(6)Knights vs Mighty Drunks (3)
Knights pull away in third to hand Mighty Drunks a 6-3 loss
C.Durante netted the game winner and the Knights used three third period goals to down the Mighty Drunks on Wednesday night. For two straight periods neither side had an edge trading the same amount of goals. By sticking to their game plan, the Knights found a way to be better scoring twice in a short span. A.Jalilvand tallied twice and added the helper on Durante's winner. The Mighty Drunks assembled some last second bodies to floor a decent team. Despite the lack of chemistry, they still fared well keeping it very close. S.Sicuso may have arguably been their best player bagging two goals and an assist.
(1)Carnage vs Bramabulls(5)
Bramabulls breathe easy on three third period goals
Even though they led 2-0 after two periods, the Bramabulls still felt that Carnage was hanging in there. That was up until they decided to pull away on three third period markers. Much of the credit was attributed to S.Liparota and A.Moffa as both players turned it up a notch combining for six points. Carnage, although struggled to find the back of the net got some satisfaction when D.Xiarchos spoiled G.Follano's shutout with less than five minutes remaining in the game.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Stefano Liparota. After leading 2-0 heading into the third period, S.Liparota broke the game wide open riffling two markers and a helper.
