T.Karasek third period hat trick leads Bramabulls past Knights
With the Bramabaulls holding a 3-0 lead, T.Karasek made sure to put the game to rest on a third period hat trick. The Bramabulls improve to a flawless 8-0 record needing only one more win to solidify a perfect regular season record. The first two periods were fairly close with the Knights still in striking distance. Unfortunately, they just couldn't make a game of it despite their very short bench. G.Follano did not give up a goal up until R.Kilgour beat him by the six minute mark of the third period. N.Sbarra collected three points and T.Karasek added a pair of assists to his third period outburst.
(9)Mighty Drunks vs Carnage (4)
Back to back power play goals help Mighty Drunks top Carnage
The Mighty Drunks made the most of their sudden power play chances. In a high scoring back and forth affair, the Mighty Drunks riffled a pair of timely power play markers to put themselves in the driver's seat by the mid way point of the match. The contest was still very close with the Mighty Drunks only up by one. But with Y.Dube striking for a second time while setting up M.Beaudry shortly after, the Mighty Drunks knew they had this game in the bag. Carnage invested most of their energy early on three first period goals. Clearly, their three change ups caught up to them in the end as they barely any legs left to compete with a deeper roster. M.Mogianesi, normally known for his sound defensive game showed much more on this particular night collecting two goals and a pair of helpers.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Michael Mogianesi of the Mighty Drunks. The sound defenseman dominated every aspect of the game making big plays with and without the ball to merit the honour.
