(3)Job on Demand vs Legacy(2)
A.Sonny Longo's late goal lifts Job on Demand over Legacy
With Legacy not doing themselves any favours visiting the penalty box, the Job on Demand made them pay in the end. J.Hassan took advantage to level the game in the third period and A.Sonny Longo put the final dagger with only 14 seconds left on the clock. As expected, this game was going to be tight with plenty of pride-from the two sides. P.Assadi was one player definitely up for the challenge and did not disappoint allowing only two goals against a lethal offense.
(5)Smooth Sailors vs Fatal Demons (2)
Smooth Sailors breathe easy only in late moments
The Smooth Sailors had to have thought that this game was going to be easy and done with-from the beginning. And why not considering how both teams have fared all season long. While the Smooth Sailors have no issues scoring goals, the Fatal Demons can't seem to get their act together and defend properly. Add all that up,a lopsided affair was to be expected. But the Fatal Demons didn't make things easy for the Smooth Sailors on Thursday night, who needed the entire match in order to feel secure about their chances. J.Bolanakis created the doubt by posting two quick goals in the third period to pull the Fatal Demons within one. It was only by the ten minute mark of the frame that the Smooth Sailors clamped the victory. M.Maggiore doubled the lead and M.Testolina followed up only moments later to put the match to rest.
(4)United Armenians vs SBS Trashers(7)
SBS Trashers score 7 unanswered to defeat United Armenians
After allowing the first two goals of the game, the SBS Trashers put on a show netting seven unanswered en route to a 7-4 victory. The surge only began as of the six minute mark of the second period. Once Joseph Scalia broke the ice, the snow ball effect was in motion. The natural sniper potted his second four minutes later and J.Desmarais took over in the third on a pair of insurance markers. To their credit, the United Armenians put up a decent challenge considering the lopsided body count-from the two benches.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Pedram Assadi of the Job on Demand. It seemed like the net minder could do no wrong on Thursday night. It's never easy limiting Legacy to a pair of goals but P.Assadi proved to everyone that he can defy the odds.
