(7)Smooth Sailors vs Job on Demand (4)
Smooth Sailors jump to quick start to hold off Job on Demand
You never want to fall behind early on three goals, and that's unfortunately what the Job on Demand had to deal with on Thursday night. Just over six minutes had gone by for the Smooth Sailors to dictate the pace of the match. But as miserable as it was, the Job on Demand did finally wake up even though it proved to be costly. On two occasions, they managed to pull themselves within one. J.DeStefano gave life to the Job on Demand by narrowing the gap to only one goal but that lasted only so long as the Smooth Sailors immediately regained control of the game. C.Fragkiudakis provided a two goal cushion, and A.Rapone widened the gap shortly after to put the contest out of reach.
(2)Fatal Demons vs United Armenians (6)
Fatal Demons must deal with painful end of season following loss to United Armenians
The Fatal Demons found only disappointment having to end their season earlier than hoped for. Both teams entered the night expecting to secure a playoff spot or at the very least be within striking distance. However, that wasn't the case for the Fatal Demons, who were nowhere to be found in their most important game of the season. The United Armenians were quicker and more agile which gave them a massive edge. It took them only five minutes to produce four goals. G.Jerjian notched the winner while adding a late power play marker.
(5)Legacy vs SBS Trashers(4)
J.Rochon scores decisive goal as Legacy edge out Trashers
J.Rochon scored the winner very late of a back and forth game as Legacy edged the SBS Trashers on Thursday night. The game had its momentum swings. Legacy roared out to a 3-0 lead before the first period ended. Then, the tides turned and the SBS Trashers took over on four straight markers with A.Plescia eventually putting his team up by the six minute mark of the second period. For a very long stretch, both sides decided to tighten up their game. Legacy knew they played a little careless but had enough time to address their woes. And after getting their act straight, the third period proved why they are a team to be reckoned with. A.Stamiris was able to come through and level while J.Rochon delivered a massive blow by netting his second leaving only 19 seconds on the clock.
The SalumiVino player goes to Jason Rochon of Legacy. With the game on the line, the power forward came through riffling his second to decide a wild back and forth affair with the SBS Trashers.
