(1)Legends vs The Blast (2)
Rubens Morne clutch netting both goals for Blast
Just when the Legends finally got to D.Massa, the Blast were able to avoid overtime thanks to Rubens Morne late power play goal. Six seconds was all that was left when Rubens Morne struck for a second time to propel his club over the Legends. The Blast couldn't have played a better game with only two changes to their bench. On the large part, they had the energy to dictate a lot of what went on. Both sides were cautious and didn't give much on both ends of the court. It was just the right game plan for the Blast, who managed to play with a slight 1-0 lead throughout most of the game. The Legends did capitalise late thanks to M.Chenier's power play goal but it was all for nothing as a costly penalty doomed them in the end.
(6)Bramabulls vs Winter Soldiers (2)
Bramabulls ride J.Lulic's 6 assists in rout of Winter Soldiers
Everyone would agree that J.Lulic's six assists was pretty significant to say the least. The heads up defenseman was decisive and assertive getting balls to the right player or towards the net for great scoring chances. With Lulic as a quarter back, the power play becomes that much deadlier. The Bramabulls benefited twice with the man advantage. In addition to his remarkable production, S.Marricco occupied another aspect of the game, and that was his ability to finding the back of the net. Three out of the Bramabulls six goals came-from the blade of Marricco. Entering tonight's contest, the Winter Soldiers knew they had a challenge ahead of them. The problem was that they visited the penalty box several times which isn't the best to thing to do versus the Bramabulls. There only bright moments came when their captain C.Kakivelis scored both goals on the power play.
(8)Legacy vs Toyota Candiac(1)
T.Bozinakis 4 goals propels Legacy to lopsided win
In the first period as shots and scoring chances kept coming, P.Assadi held his ground. He made save after save to keep the game scoreless. But it was only a matter of time before Legacy`s offensive display translated into goals. The flood gates eventually opened and the Toyota Candiac couldn't stop the bleeding. T.Bozinakis was a force collecting three goals and an assist in that single period alone. Much of what just happened carried into the final frame with Legacy adding four more to put the game out of reach. S.Athanasopoulos went on to bury his second while T.Bozinakis continued his onslaught adding his fourth tally as part of a seven point night.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Tasso Bozinakis of Legacy. His creativity with the ball was in full display, resulting in an impressive seven points that included four goals.
