Classics over power Excalibur in both games

Simply having their way, the Classics came ready to play on Monday night.  The Classics took over the game as of the second period of the first encounter  riding three goals-from different players.From there, they added four tallies into the first period of the ensuing match to put the Excalibur immdiately on the ropes. Apart from M.Destounis scoring twice, the Classics got equal contributions-from nearly everyone.P.Assadi turned aside enough quality chances at the right time during both games.The key in both wins was the overall team play and experience brought forth from the Classics.

Les Yables catch Punishers off guard in opener

The Punishers had little answers for Les Yables on Monday night, at least in the first game.Although it wasn’t untill the second period where Les Yables torched their opponent with four straight goals.In the span of only seven minutes, four goals had gone in with different players finding the back of the net. Now, its one thing to defeat the Punishers on any given night, and its another to do it twice in a row. Les Yables realized this when it was already to late. The tables immediately turned in the ensuing match with the Puinishers amping up their play. This time, they struck first and dictated the pace to their liking. C.Gingras tacked on two goals and an assist while M.Melo was firm allowing only one tally.

B.Cabral four goal performnce caps off feel good evening for the Orient

On some nights,some guys simply have the hot stick,and that was certainly the case for B.Cabral. In what was an entertaining set of events, Cabrals fourth goal came in the second games dying moments that snapped a 4-4 tie. Both sides felt certain that for a second straight time, a shootout would have decided matters. The LG HC took the opening contest 5-3 on two shootout goals from N.Kokovidis and P.Doulis.The second match appeared to be headed for the same ending, that was untill Cabral potted in a rebound by going to the net. The Orient deserved much of what they got on Monday night. After finding themselves down 2-0 in the first game due to the team being late, they still managed to go the distance by overcoming the deficit.

ICE Breakers use one key shift to split with Degenerates

You cant ask for a better situation if you are the Degenerates leading 3-2 with half a period remaining. And no matter the Ice Breakers struggles during that time, they still can win a game at the drop of a hat. B.Freitas and M.Thakaa scored just over a minute apart, and all of a sudden, the Ice Breakers went-from trailing to playing ahead. It didn’t take long for H.Jerjian to rip a bullet-from centre court and widen the margin. G.Santocroce did narrwow the gap late but that was as close as the Degenerates got. Clearly, the loss didn’t sit well for a team that battled hard enough for a better result. But with a chance to turn the tides, the Degenerates got enough out of J.Atch, who pushed all 15 shots his way while getting the players to play well in front of him.A.Desrosiers got credited the winner, and S.Marricco made sure to secure the win on a late power play goal.

Prolific Athletes depelted line up comes to bite them again

Its virtually impossible for any hockey team to maintain a high energy burst throughout two straight games with only one change. This was the case for the Prolific Athlete on Monday night, who had to endure keeping up with a quick and deeper opponent. Granted, they held their own dropping a close encounter 3-2 and kept the second match extremley close as well only to lose it late in the game. Les Immigrant needed two very late goals-from A.Addante and S.Jankouzian to secure their second victory.Prior to the second match,C.Kheriaty made an immediate impression for Les Immigrants collecting all three points.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Billy Cabral of the Orient. B.Cabral provided all the offense  on the strength of his four goals that included a very late winner.
